I already know you can't do this normally. Just about all my VC games on my original Wii were downloaded and when i first got my Wii U i tried simply transferring them via sd card onto the VC of the Virtual Wii and got that message about licences and having to do a system transfer or whatever it was. That was a while ago and i miss playing some of my Genesis games that i used to play on my Wii. Has a way been developed that lets you simply copy VC games from your Wii's VC to the VC on your Wii U via sd card yet?

The official transfer method only, if you want to play your "injected" VC you need reinstall them again on your vWii, for that use WiiMOD on my signature.

Hey again, just finally got around to this. Ok i have one VC game i want to copy from my original Wii to my Wii U and it does just happen to be an injected wad. It's Quackshot staring Donald Duck for sega genesis. I downloaded it years ago and it has been on my Wii's hard drive all this time but whatever download site i got it from is well and truly gone and so is any that might have also had it. There will be nowhere on the net now to download that again and i know that Wad Injector doesn't work anymore either.

Ok so... i placed my sd card in my Wii (the same sd card i'm using for the HBC on my vWii) and simply copied the channel to the sd card, then i put the sd card back in my Wii U and went to "Channels" in the options and clicked on the sd card tab and tried to copy the channel to the vWii's hd but it said it couldn't be copied which i was expecting. I've downloaded your WiiMOD app you mentioned there and have it ready to go so can you please now tell me in easy-to-understand, step-by-step instructions how i can get this copied and working on my vWii? Cheers.

If you just copy from your games to SD card to NAND (Wii/Wii U internal memory) it won't work, why? because a ticket is needed in order the console recognize those games as "legit", I think I already explain you this IIRC, you need install everything again, your previous games work on old Wii because they had a ticket installed, what you need is:
    1. WiiMOD (in my signature)
    2. A game to install in wad format (duh)
    3. Install the game (or games) WiiMOD uses batch installation, so it should be quick
    4.?
    5.Profit!

If you run out of space in your NAND you need install a patched IOS 80 (under your own risk), in order to store/run your VC/WiiWares from a SD card.

Woops about that last one. I sorta get what you mean but if i'm correct in what that is then as i said i can't get a WAD file of it anymore because there are no more download links on the net anywhere. Is there anyway possible i can copy that channel to an sd card or usb stick and then on my pc convert it to a wad file?

Yeah, IIRC WiiMOD has the option to convert to wad file an already installed title, do it in old Wii, and install on Wii U

    No problem,
    Ok, here we go:
    -Open WiiMod on old Wii
-Select "Any Title Manager | Region Changer (Wii only)" option
    -Press A to "yes"
    -Select Any Title Manager
    -Select Installed Channel Titles
-A list of your installed games will appear, note that possible not every title is going to be listed, if that happen play that title once, in order to generate a save.
-Select the title you want to convert to.wad with (+) on the Wiimote
-It will store the wad somewhere in your SD
    -???
    -Profit!

You are a F++KING LEGEND my friend!!!! I followed your steps and it worked perfectly :D I love Quackshot... played that all the time as a kid. It's not just one of my favourite genesis games but all time favourite games too. I know i could have download a genesis emulator and simply ran a rom file but... i don't know... i guess it's just my OCD - i prefer having everything set up in a nice neat order lol. Well that's about it to be honest. I know i've made heaps of posts on this site but that was because i was new to Wii U and needed to learn to do the same things on there that i did on my Wii... then i got the more advanced (black) Wii U and had to do those things all over again, but i think i'm pretty much finished now. Nothing more needed. Thanks for all the help you provided - you probably helped me the most out of anyone :)

    Cheers and happy new year.

Howdy again. Thought i was done but just one final thing - can you use that WiiMOD to transfer saves between vWii's too? I have a save file of a Wii game i finished back on the white console and now when i try to transfer it to the hd of the vWii on the black console it says it can't be copied. I spent hours and hours playing that game to finally finish it and i went to a lot of trouble to get a 100% complete rating so it would be nice if i could just copy it over instead of having to do all that again... you know what i mean?

Hey man, thanks for that reply. Abit late i know but i've been busy with stuff. Just finally got around to this now and i watched a few tutorials on youtube but still can't figure the f**king thing out. Ok so... I know that when you copy a Wii save to the sd card (on an original Wii) it's saved in the "private" folder and i also know that on the vWii for some reason everytime you make a save of a Wii game it just automatically copies to the sd card. I also know that for this to supposedly work there has to be a save file of the same game already on the Wii hd to copy over. I told you that i have a new Wii U now and (i just wasn't thinking properly) i started playing Fatal Frame 4 and just finished the first chapter so i could save so there would officially be a save file on the vWii hd and then went and tried to copy over my previous FF4 save file from that last time i played it that i mentioned in my last post only to realize "Oh shit that's right, it automatically copies to the sd card on a vWii so that save file i had has now been overwritten... F**K!!!" Hope that was easy to understand lol.

Luckily i'm not completely stupid and had the good sense to make a folder on my pc and just copied all the stuff from my sd card to there before i tried that so there's still a copy of that original save file in there now. Ok to cut to the chase mate - right now i have a save file of FF4 on my vWii and i could just delete the FF4 save file that is currently on my sd card and replace it with the original... then what do i do to transfer that one on there? Like as in everything? Sorry to sound pushy but could you possibly explain it again in a step-by-step, hacking-for-dummies way? I'd be very appreciative. Cheers.

P.S. I don't know if this is relevant or not but when i got my Wii U i never bothered making a "Mii" character for the vWii. The original Wii no longer supports online and i never purchased anything from the Wii store so there didn't seem any point. When i tried that program it asked to make a Mii character so i did but this was after i did that quick play of FF4 to simply get a save file on the vWii hd. Just thought i'd tell you incase you needed to know that.

Well... it would be more convenient than having to do everything all over again but if that's asking too much then that's ok too. I don't want to seem pushy, just you seem to know alot about this kinda stuff. I'll fully understand if you decline, all good mate :)
