Merry couple of days before Christmas! Ok, so it's my birthday today and I got a new 3DS XL. I was wondering if there was a way to transfer MenuHax and all my emulators from the Old 3DS to the new one?

Is this possible? If yes, do I need anything special to do it; if not, how do i transfer the emulators to the new 3DS and use a different exploit (ex. Ocarina of Time (I might be getting that later today or for Christmas)) Please help!

P.S. I haven't even turned on the New 3DS yet

Power it on, if it's on 9.0-9.2 don't update it and just get rxTools or Cakes.
If it's 9.3-10.1 then just copy your homebrew over to your N3DSXL's memory card. Use browserhax to enter homebrew channel (N3DS can bypass the update nag on 9.9-10.1 by booting up the N3DS and going to browser as fast as you can) and install menuhax.

Highly doubt it would come on 10.2-10.3 out of the box so you don't have to worry about that.

It's hidden under the back cover, you have to unscrew it to take it out and/or replace it with a higher capacity one.

One more thing, what type of screwdriver do you need? I can't find anything online

Er, any kind that would fit the shape of the screws, I suppose.
Find a small regular screwdriver or something. We have like collections of screwdrivers here so whenever I need one I just have to sort through what we have until i find one that's small enough. I wouldn't really be able to tell you what size and/or brand to buy if you don't already have one.

I can't without the Old 3DS saying that I have to update first - which I don't want to do in case my New 3DS XL can't get MenuHax

well you'd have to be on 10.3 to do a system transfer. that means no more menuhax.

if you're not doing a system transfer then you need to just use a different entry point to install menuhax, given it's 10.1 or lower.

    transferring your emulators:
    1. just copy the files of your 3ds archive to the new sd card (and the ROM's for the emulators)
    2. launch the hombrew channel
    3. and then there should be all of your homebrew stuff

setting up menu hax depends on which firmware you are, because it's only for 10.1 or lower

(I'm on 9.9 but this will probably work on 10.1 or below) I copied all of the files to the micro SD and then used this DNS (I'm not sure if it mattered at all but I used it):
    Primary: 107.211.140.165
    Secondary: 107.211.140.065
And then I shutdown my New 3DS XL, then I turned it on, pressed and held the L and R buttons, pressed the QR Code icon, then scanned the QR Code at: http://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax.php , then I pressed OK and it launched the web browser, then I shutdown the new 3DS XL, turned it back on really fast again, pressed the web browser icon, and I waited for it to load, once it loads, it will either have a yellow screen in the bottom pop up or it will have the yellow screen plus a bunch of other colors (repeat shutting down the DS, pressing the web browser and waiting. This took about 10-20 minutes for it be actually successful) Thank you so much for helping me! Hopefully this works on other new 3DS XL's (I tested this on my Old 3DS and it didn't work)
