I used TinyFormat to format my sysnand, is there a way for me to get back my installed cias? The SD card has not been formatted so everything is still there, just not accessible by this sysnand

No, because you formatted it, which means it's going to use a new folder inside Nintendo 3DS now instead of the last one.

IF, you have a NAND backup of the NAND that was using the last folder inside Nintendo 3DS, you could restore it and everything will show up and be fine.

Ah, didn't even think of that, glad I had a backupm from a week ago.

I had a few games installed after the backup. FBI detects them, but I can't run them and they don't appear on my home screen. Any ideas?

Because they were installed after the backup, you could say in a sense that it was never installed in the first place, but theorectically speaking, if you re-install the cia's they'll be good to go.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

Just give it a try, but honestly if you have a 3DS you can play DS games without a card just off the internal SD card
