I'm curious when using the touchscreens for the Aya Neo or Steamdeck for 3DS and DS emulation if the Nintendo stylus can be used as effectively as it is with the actual nintendo handhelds. Or does the touchscreen for the Aya Neo and Steamdeck only work with fingers. Thanks.

They have the capacitive touchscreens, unlike the DS/3DS which have resistive touchscreens. The hard plastic stylus from those older consoles won't work on Steam Deck etc, you can get a different type of stylus that's designed for capacitive screens. Nintendo released one for the Switch for Mario Maker 2, but they're the same type that can be used for most modern phones so they're cheap and available everywhere. The tip is soft and rounded rather than hard and pointed, I don't know if it would feel less accurate for DS emulation or whatever, or if the larger screen size would balance that out.
