I prefer button based games with a little touch screen addition. Too much touch screen really puts me off a game.

    Depends on the player.

For me, I find it a bit hard to play touch-screen-centered games.
I guess I prefer the old D-Pad and buttons, haha.

I prefer playing Eco Creatures with using only the touchscreen [IMG]

But, yes, it depends on the game that you're playing...

playing ouendan with buttons. it doesn't work.

clearly it depends on the game and some games are highly suitable for high usage of stylus.

^ Whatever he just said. I find that generally, kids like stylus games and teens and people like them like the button based. Stylus way is the more interactive way; it's different. Button based are for the gamers who grew up with like NES and stuff, just classic.

You can't possibly expect an RPG game to be touch screen based. The ability to play like that may exist, however I doubt most veteran players who are trying to rush through the game would press the screen at each dialog instead of simply pressing A or X. Bemani games of course would use the touch screen.

I find it being the exact opposite, all the kids bitch & mone about there little hands getting cramped with the stylus. And all the games geared for adults seem to be stylus based games. The kiddies all like them button based kiddy RPG’s & arcade games.

That doesn't make sense. Don't bigger ands get cramped around the stylus easier? And kids like interactive stuff more, or so as I see. Some kids are crazy over the Wii and like meh... to the 360 and stuff.

    EDIT: spelled cramped wrong. [IMG]

Depends on the game. A game like Hotel Dusk: Room 219 would seriously suck as a button game. I'm probably more of a button gamer, but I really like touch screen games when they utilise it really well (like Zelda: PH)
