Gaming Tomodachi Life - "Want to get married" status but not getting married?

I started playing tomodachi life a couple days ago and I'm hooked ~ but there's this pair that is on the relationship status "Wants to get married" but neither of them seem to be wanting to propose. In fact, I have this other pair that has a lower status but has asked me to help them propose several times (I suck at the minigame xd)

I don't think that's really a gauge of what they're feeling, more of a 'higher chance to do something'. But I haven't really touched the game in quite a while, so I'm not fully sure on that.
