As the title suggests, Netflix has ordered an anime series adaptation of the renowned video game franchise. The Tomb Raider anime series will be set in the universe of the reboot trilogy, following the adventures of Lara Croft and is said to be unrelated to the live-action movies starring Alicia Vikander as the heroine.

Writing for the Tomb Raider anime series will be handled by Tasha Huo, who is known for The Witcher: Blood Origin, the prequel series to The Witcher. Huo will also executive produce the series along with Dmitri M. Johnson (Sonic the Hedgehog), Stephan Bugaj and Howard Bliss.

Since cartoons are more popular than ever now it makes sense that you would see a cartoon of Tomb Raider. i am supprised that way back in the Late 90's and to the early 2000's that they did not try and make a Tomb Raider cartoon as i think it was fairy popular in that time frame and it had 2movies. Then again the last movie came out in 2003 and it took 15 years for another movie to be made.
