Thanks for doing this project for all of us who can't read Japanese! I'd love to be a beta tester, but if you need anything else feel free to message me here or PM me for an e-mail.

AHHHHHHHHHHH!

Thank you all for taking time out of your lives to make not only yourselves but countless others SO HAPPY!

I'm happy to help out as much as I can with beta-testing and proof-reading, but I can't really help with translations >

I am SO going to look forward to this! Thank you so much for taking the time and effort into doing this.

I literally just signed up on GBAtemp (I generally just lurk around as a guest) just to express my gratitude and to wish you and the team great luck.

You guys can do it!

(Oh, and I'd love to be a beta tester and help any way I can!)

Some checking on text length for GS3.

The main dialog window text has 14 chars limit. The rest will be auto-cut to new line.
(But if the total no. of lines exceed 6, the game will freeze.)

The mail text (mail.lzs)'s text limit is 17 chars.

(Pics in spoiler tag.)

In Pic 1, The input text is;
(This boy is...
Ruka-kun,
Sakurai Ruka-kun...)

btmgs3rd1019170.png

In pic 2, for the line with numbers, my input text is;
1234567890123456789012345678901234
and only up the 17th char appeared. The rest just didn't show.
(Which means no auto line arrange for this part.
Anything longer than the limit just disappears.)
Note: Font spacings in mail.lzs and the main dialog are different.

Not sure if this is because of Unicode encoding
or there's some codes in the game that determine no. of characters per line.

This... is AMAZING, Jewel, thank you, very big help, GS3 may have hope yet! (If it does, I won't continue it until after GS2 since GS3 is such a huge game)

Thank you Suji, that really motivates me to do my best!

Don't worry. I kind of enjoy figuring things out like this. It's fun for me.

Anyway, if you're playing GS3, you can check how the last line in the ending credit is displayed. The last line got text like "Konami Digital Entertainment" and if I remembered correctly, the whole line is shown in one line. But I'm not sure and I'm too lazy to try to get any endings now. (I just kept restarting the game from start so I could scream when my beloved old man came to my classroom to scold my homeroom teacher. Hahaha...) Anyway, what I'm saying is if that Konami credit can show up in one line, it must be possible to show the text that is longer than 14 characters all in one line. But you'll have to figure out what and where the control code is.

By the way, if you got problem repacking ROM with DSLazy, try CrystalTile2's NDS File Systems (under Tools) and use Split and Build instead.

Thanks, I'll give it a try, I use dsbuff as well though.
It's not the rom size giving me problems, it's the text length in the game not showing the text due to crashing
frown.gif

I've already fixed the rom size issue, now it's 109MB from 512 MB until I repack it as the official translated rom.
GS2 is going veeeeeeeeeeeery nicely though thanks to you, Noitora(who's also being a complete mentor for helping me with C#, thank you rabbit!) and my curiosity of how files look in CT2 XD

I'll take a look at the credit roll and inform Noitora(Already did) thank you, Jewel!

Oh, have you figured out the pointer format? If you have that and a list of which files contain text, I can write that inserter.
