"title takeover" on banned, reset Switch

Hi all,

I am trying to softmod this Switch that I bought on ebay. It is banned and factory reset.
The first step the guide suggests is to download a free game to use a "title takeover" feature from Atmosphere, to allow access to more resources.
Now with a banned console that is not possible. Is there another way how I can use this feature, without having to use a game catridge every time?
I did a search on the forum but couldn't find anything to "title takeover" or just takeover

It doesn't have to be a game downloaded officially in the original firmware. It can be anything you've installed from the kind archivists of the internet : ).
IIRC most of the homebrew game installers need to be run through title takeover instead of the album applet, so you will need to have a cartridge inserted this one time. But once you've installed any other title, you can use that instead.
