I think all we need is a dump of an initial saver from retail card. Looks like it's pre-inited with some values.

Use VBA 1.8.0 beta 3
Real Time Clock option activate.
Set save type to FLASH and Flash64k.

It works fine for me.

i already finished the basic training, but when i go to puzzle mode, all the puzles are locked whit a big ? simbol.

you need to unlock the stages with "?" symbols, too...
if you scroll all the way to the left, there should be a few stages without the "?"...when you beat them, you can select more stages

I don't think it's a problem with the emulator, because that would be pretty weird

If you have a working .sav file for tsuukin hitofude, you can just copy it over as the same name for the polarium advance.sav, the format is exactly the same. So if you were x amount of stages into tsuukin hitofude, and you'd rather play it in english, just copy the .sav file over and you can continue where you left off and play in english now.

If you have no working .sav file, or you want a fresh one so you can set the start date, and you want to use VBA 1.7.2 with it, simply boot it up in VBA 1.8.0 beta 3, which will initialize a VALID .sav file, then exit. Move the .sav over to the VBA 1.7.2 battery folder, and play away.

I must say I really like this game, enough so that I've worked through about 300+ puzzles to gold star level so far, though I agree it could use more bells and whistles, and maybe some more puzzles too. I seem to remember once when I was poking around with the values in the .sav in tsuukin hitofude, I got it to show a total of 366 puzzles instead of 365, I'm assuming because it was accounting for the extra day in a leap year. I might be remembering wrong, or maybe it did show 366 and one of the puzzles repeats, I'm not sure. When I finally get up to 365 I'll start experimenting again to see.

i created a good save with vba 1.8.0 beta 3, and flashed on the flash cart, now it works fine i can set the date on day mode, but on the original, and polarium collection modes the puzzles are all locked, i dont know if this is normal, i already made like 10 puzzles from the day mode, but nothing happens.

EDIT: now i see, the collection mode works fine, the only one that looks locked its the original mode, but it must be normal i think in the beginning.

Woah, I got a EZ Flash Advance cart. Tried to flash it either alone, or use a VBA 1.8.0 beta 3 save state and it *always* show me a white screen. Not a single frame of color or a glitch of sound. On the emulator it works great, but on my cart, nothing _at_all_. Anyone have better luck with flashing on a EZ Flash Advance 256 cartridge?

I want to play this game badly so I can delete that Sudoku game that my Girlfriend always play since I flashed it! *evil grin*

Well, I'm guessing any flash cart will need a RTC to run it properly. I have yet to flash it to mine though.

i can play tutorial and the two time attack(?) modes but not the real stages

anyone could upload a .sav that has the real stages unlocked to rapidshare.de?

My flashcart wasn't running it correctly.

I ran the game in the latest version of VBA. I flashed the save it created to my cart and it ran perfectly.

My cart DOES NOT have RTC, FWI. The game doesn't even use RTC (according to GBATA).

are you sure you can play the REAL STAGES with the .sav from VBA?

cos i'd guess you can only play the tutorial and the two 'time attacks' still...

could anyone who can play the real stages upload his sav to yousendit.com

I've the same problem: with VBA it's all unlocked, except for the Standard Mode.
