Over here in NZ the poppy would represent ANZAC day, but that's a long time away.

It's a red poppy.

It's Remembrance Day today (11/11), and most European countries hold a day of commemoration for those brave people that were killed during World War I.

Even if you don't celebrate Remembrance Day yourself please respect those that do.

That's similar to our ANZAC day, where we commemorate the New Zealand and Australian soldiers that were killed during WWI, with the red poppies and all.
