The EUR/UK version and the US version were identical, so don't hold your breath for the UK one.

myeah, but I seem to have a problem when flashing the game...

I patched the game(with the provided ips patch), trimmed the rom and flashed it (f2a 256) and it plays perfect, saves too, but after a while, the savegame dissapears without a reason... (says the save has been deleted) and I hoped that with the uk-version it might work...

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I never had that, same setup as you. I even finished the game.
