Time for an Adult Video Game App Store

Is it me or am I the only one that think that it's high time for an adult video game "app store"? With all the recent episodes of game censorship, maybe it's time to have a place where AO rated games can be safely sold without scrutiny and all the politics that usually follows from the retail scene.

The ESRB isn't really the problem. The problem is the retail industry and the platform manufacturers. Remember a game called "BMX XXX"? Wal-Mart flat out banned that game. Hell, Manhunt 2 on Wii had to go through editing " because Nintendo and Sony". Back on topic, I don't think games with strong, explicit sexual content should be shoved off due to old and sensitive people's puritanical views. These types of games have the right to be sold in a fair marketplace, judged purely by their quality.

Me too. I loved Aggressive Inline so I was already going to get it before...boobs. The BMX part did throw me off a bit but only in the physics area.

Seriously tho, it'll just get abused by people.
Instead of screaming murder and what not, why not educate parents/children about games.

This. As soon as parents take responsibility and actually look into what their children play and what they buy for them, this whole issue will go away. I've seen way to many kids under 13 playing GTA (and playing the game, not just driving/crashing around the city and doing innocent stuff like that), then all of a sudden it's the game's fault for having mature content once the parent actually pays attention to what their child is playing

eh I only went by with one editor on a fanboy android site said. He actually talked to the guy. Not a user myself but that's really the only one out there. And they seem to be doing *very* well

I'm sure they're sustaining their business model but they're the only one in the game. I'm thinking of more of a gaming focused store.
