Got some cash for Chirstmas that I am looking into getting a new phone with. having a lok around in shops here all the decent phones with no provider cost heaps. So I went to DX which has always served me well.
ZTC 8898 I found this one. Thing is, I can't find any reviews about it and the only info I find is people saying its a clone (which I know it is). I know some later NES games do not work well with a NOAC. I am guessing it is a NOAC. Anyway do any of you guys have any links leading to reviews or more info about it? Thanks for having a look

$190 for a phone whose highlighting feature is an NES emulator? I think you need to look elsewhere. If it's coming from DealExtreme, it's not going to be the best quality. Do not get this.

I would rather get a brand name phone but all the good phones cost heaps
Not really. I got my Nokia 6120 Classic for 90 €, that's about $120 (with a plan), but I'm sure you could find a retail off eBay or something for the same price as this ... crap. Seriously, stay away from this rip-off, you'll live to regret it.
6120 Classic can do all the things this one can do, plus it's got HSDPA (3,6 Mb/s, yay!) and Symbian 9.2.

I'd be a bit shifty to purchase something that expensive from DealExtreme.

It could be a cheaply made Chinese product (which I'm positive it is).

So, just stick to buying a phone sold in your country, if I were you

And what if your cell phone provider doesn't support that phone, enabling it useless?

It does. But the 6120 is good phone. Anyone name any good Symbian Apps of the top of their heads?

Well, I use CorePlayer (plays almost any codec imaginable) and I used to use vBag (GBA emulator -> but it's kind of a pain to play on a mobile's keyboard). I also have Nokia Maps, QuickOffice, PhoneGuardian (anti-theft protection), VNC, Opera Mini, Nokia Live Messenger (official Nokia/Microsoft client for Messenger/Hotmail/Livemail), Y-Browser (file manager), Y-Apps (application manager) and some others installed. Really, get a Symbian phone, you won't regret it.

Hmmmm. Is there a good website that has tons of Symbian apps and games? Any good online stores to get a 6120? Buying anything in Australia is expensive

Buy a phone from a more reputable brand. The one you suggested is quite expensive. Like JPH said, it could be a cheaply-made
product.
