I'm believing that to be bullshit. I mean, surely they'd search after a year but 42 years? They should have noticed about late payment or whatever...

Unbelievable.

Code:
How did the tea still stay? Wouldn't it evaporate?

Excellent point.

After while mold would float on top of the liquid so it wouldnt be able to evap. Even more so that they didnt cut her power so I would assume that it wouldnt get hot enough to actually cause it to evap.

Did they say there was still tea in the cup?

They said she never finished her tea, so one would assume there was
True but that would mean that there would be a stain on the cup, all of the liquid could be gone but instead of a stain at the bottom (if she finished) there would be a big stain from where ever she stopped drinking.

Most likely they are assuming she never finished it because she was still holding the cup.

Here's the real story.

I thought it sounded familiar. Actually, it was "only" 35 years, the woman was found in her bed, not in front of the TV, and no report mentioned any tea.

Gizmodo. A reliable news source.

Unfuckingbelieveable. Ok, there are 3 questions that need to be answered:

1. This woman had ZERO family that would have gone to her apartment to pack up her things once she was presumed dead?

2. The owners of the building waited 42 years to try and rent it out to someone else?

3. Her neighbors never noticed, especially the weeks and months following her dissappearance, the putrid smell of a rotting corpse in their building?
