Trying to connect to my New 3DS (using the wireless connection for the MicroSD) on my mac results in a "permission denied" error. Some users suggested using cifs:// instead of smb://, but that didn't work. The 3DS recognizes the connection, but denies the login. Seems to be a common problem (not just for 3DS) on Mac.
So I followed this guide to replace the SMB stack with Samba3: http://blog.helloyama.com/post/77813860132/replacing-the-os-x-10-9-mavericks-smb-stack-with
And I tried again, but I'm no further along.
Anyone get Mac OS X (preferably Yosemite) working with the New 3DS? I really don't want to have to take off the back plate and get a microSD adapter.
