Well I can tell you it's a definite purchase. Probably imo the best fighter on the 3DS. The graphics are lush and amazing, the fighting system is top notch and the modes offered give it a lot of replay value.

What modes are offered in the game?

Well there is Arcade mode which is a standard for every fighter, Chronicle mode which explains the DoA story of the last 4 games in one go which makes it kinda confusing but not too bad it also serves as a tutorial kinda on the controls, Free fight which is basically a mode where you make your own fight with your own rules, Online, Survival mode where you take on a set number of enemies and try to defeat them the more you defeat the harder it gets, Tag Team mode where you fight with a tag partner in set challenges, and practice mode.

How Deep is the online? I like WiFi/Online games for my consoles, the reason I have MK7.

Well the online works different in a few ways, street pass for example you exchange ghost data and stuff like that and you fight their fighter in a match. Same for spot pass it'll yell CHALLENGER APPEARS and then you fight one of their fighters and depending if you win or not your grade will go up or down from points and you may get a nice reward. I don't know if they still do this but also every day on spot pass they give a downloadable costume for a character so more content there. The online can be somewhat laggy at times and the op can be cheap by using this one character and they spam a certain attack at you but yeah I would still reccomend the game.

Ok Thank you for answering all my questions. I'll be sure to get the game when I can.

what about Tekken VS DOA VS Blazblue VS Street Fighter 4? I was also thinking about getting DOA...

I heard only crap for SF4, but the others...?
most ppl are saying tekken is crap too, it has fewer modes and there is no character select online , online itself is laggy too, the movie seems great though , i dont have the game so someone who owns it would know better :)

SSFIV 3D is just SSFIV for the 3DS. Still it was a launch title and still has issues (such as the framerate cut between 3D and non-3D) and static backgrounds also aren't too pleasant. Also I really don't know why anyone would play the 3DS version over the console version which has Arcade Edition (which is like $20 now). It's not exactly "good for on-the-go gaming" since it relies quite a bit on versus and training/whatever single player modes they have won't last you for long.

I've heard that Tekken is graphically gorgeous but lacking on content. Essentially it's good for training or versus but little outside of that.

DoA is a franchise I would love to see burn to the ground. It's just so goddamn stupid. Also the dumbasses who made it couldn't even go "Oh she's 18" for some of the "sexier" girls in the game to avoid a child pornography ban in Australia. I don't even blame Australia for this, I blame whoever designed the characters for this game.

BlazBlue is apparently a pretty poor port with quite a few issues. The PSP version is better for a portable one (I'm guessing the Vita version too?) or you could just get the console release.

If you're really gun-ho on a fighting game for the system though, I'd probably say SSFIV since it's cheaper. Or even better, save your money for something else or buy a non-fighting game that's better.

:creep: that only compliments me! (Proud member of the EOF perverts group.)
But really DoA is the Best Fighter out of all of them, it's hard to spam a move and not get screwed over for it, soo many throws and counters... @_@
