My Nokia 6680 which I have at the moment is on its last hinge, due to low battery life, errors when accessing some functions e.g. games, internet....

I thinking of either getting the SonyEricsson K800i or Nokia 6300

what are your recommendations?

I'm sorry but iPhone is the SHIT! It's so slow and you have to use both hands to do anything. I sold mine 2 month later and bought N81 instead, I have the N81 for a while now and it's so freaking good!

I have no trouble doing anything one-handed (aside from typing).

And why did you get the N81? Its one of the worst in the N series.

You apparently don't know much about cell phones

And what's wrong about the N81?

Eh, the iPhone is over rated in my eyes, there are better phones out there but sadly, due to the cellular companies in the US, many of those phones don't see the light of day in the US or not hyped up enough to compete with all the money Apple put into advertising the iPhone.

I've seen shaun's N95 at work and, oh god, this is the best mobile I've ever seen. I want the same!
I've also seen and used the iPhone but it felt more like a PDA to me.
The N95 has freaky specs and it works really well. Amazing battery life too.
If I had the cash I'd totally buy one now.. especially for the GPS features.

For a mere hundred or so dollars more, you get the N95, which is superior in almost every respect.

More RAM, dedicated GPU, better camera, GPS, weighs less, etc.

Yeah, forgot about the N95. Best of N series so far, then comes the N81

Yeah that's right I agree with you, but you didn't mention any flaw about the N81

I don't see how you can even consider K800i and 6300 when you are used to a smartphone
If you ever used a smartphone I don't think it's possible to get back to a regular phone as of the many things you will mis
If I where you I would get a smartphone otherwise the 6680 would be better

They tried to compete with the N95 at almost the same price point, with majorly downgraded hardware. It leads to quite the tedious experience when trying to navigate menus (click, half-second wait, click half-second wait, etc).

Outside of that, its not particularly "flawed", just isn't as good as competing handsets in the same price range.

Yeah you're right about that

But after I updated the firmware to the latest one (v11.0.045) the slowing is gone and it's much faster now :yayn81:

EDIT:
If you want to know which firmware you're using, press *#0000# works for all nokia cell phones
