early consoles can be. it's based on serial number. newer ones can as well, but they need a very costly modchip. that's about all I know about the actual process.

If you buy it new, (and not an Oled, as no hack is confirmed working), you will need a chip (about 100-150 $).

All switch consoles are hack able - Excludiong the New OLED of course.

Switch V1 patched $160 part
Switch V2 $160 Part
Switch Lite $160 part

Switch OLED - Maybe HWFLY team will make a qsb/ribbon to make it compatible.

@SuperDan ,if you want to buy a Nintendo Switch for hacking,i suggest you look for a 2017 model(the first one released)and you are sure that you can modify it with Atmosphere,following the guides you find in this forum.

I might be selling my hackable system soon. I'm not sure how much it's worth, but it would be the tablet and dock (no cables). you can get the power cable for around $19, I think. and, it depends on the length of the hdmi cable. though, I'm backing up the micro sd card of it right now, so I'm undecided:

Hackable system is hard to come by these days. Why do you need it for? If it's just to play some exlusives games, most of them are emulatable on powerful enough PC. Otherwise, quest for hackable switch might take some time. I've got mine when all of them were exploitable, certainly was worth it.

mine is from 2018, but it could be a 2017 model. I got it refurbished from Nintendo when my original switch died. never had a problem with it, and I checked the serial number in system settings. it says it's 100% hackable on the ismyswitchhackable website, which seems to have disappeared.

Highest iv'e been able to do with XAW starting with #1 was XAW100817. Got an XAW100818 and it was patched. Excluding those rare pokemon (Or some refurbed switches) models this is prolly the highest possible.

Not how it works, 99% based on serial#.

who knows when that switch was sent to Nintendo. I'm assuming it had an issue, then was fixed. more often than not, Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft won't send the same console back. I may have checked my original console, but I'm not sure.

I did check the serial numbers of both, and they didn't match. the first one was logged into my pc, since I was sending it in for repair. firefox saved the number, so I checked it against what I received back. different system.
