Hardware Thinking about selling my o3ds and games for n3ds

As the title says I'm thinking about selling my O3DS and all my games in order to get a N3DS (if possible) so I don't have to deal with poop homebrew performance anymore. Or is it even worth my time? I'd like to have one at 9.2FW or less lol.

You think it's at all possible for me to get GameStop to hook me up? I got MK7, SSB, PKMN Y/OR and I have one of those membership express cards or whatever you call them for that extra 10% credit. Plus I have lots of controllers and stuff too.

Or is anyone willing to trade? (sorry if in wrong sub forum?)

For game support the OLD 3DS actually has better compatibility as it can emulate the latest firmware.
It will be kinda tricky getting a 9.2 or below N3DS as the regular model ships with 9.8 and the XL ships with 9.5 or higher now.

If you can get GameStop to let you examine the N3DS XL's you can compare their serials here.

But heck it's possible they don't even have any below 9.2, or they may refuse as they don't want to support piracy.

yeah but there's no kernel mode for 9.6FW :/ I fear there may not be for the newer FWs for a long time if not ever.

If you buy a N3DS remember you'll need a kernel mode entry point (cubic or zelda).
You can't install FW updates beyond 9.5, as 9.6 added extra encryption.
And lastly the N3DS packaging (XL as well) can be opened as their are no security features.

You can find some N3DS XL's on eBay, but they're usually priced about $80 more and would be very difficult to return.
Best bet would probably be to get a 3DS XL (not new), as production stopped before 9.2 I believe.
