Kind of sharp contrast to how Americans viewed other accents years ago. Specifically when the Irish were starting to migrate due to the famine. They still suffered from the same discrimination as everyone who wasn't a white American got.

I don't disagree with that but sadly Scotland is a very religious country and you have the Catholics IE the Irish Scots and you have the rest of us IE the true Scots who are Protestant. It has caused many a battle here.
And its just dumb as we both have the same God. The same Bible. Just different rules

But just because they don't let someone have a divorce, they are wrong and the religion that allows that is more correct simply because it lets that person have a divorce.
