These pictures for this game look unreal plus the detail is unbelievable for a system they claim didn't have good visuals? It almost looks like pic's from the development system, but if they are real that's what you get for an extra years worth of time [IMG]. I wonder what the wii can do if they got enough time on a game, and they say it's way better than the game cube. In a few years time when they do have enough time to put towards a game like this we will see the extent of the wii's power [IMG], but i wonder how much better it can get than this.

The lack of AA really kills it though. It has excellent artwork and style. But all the jaggys don't make for a good comparison with Wii games.

Still looks damn good for a gamecube game though!

except that that's the Wii version apparently.

Granted, it's based on the GC version, so I suppose there's still no comparison to what they can do.

anti aliasing is made for pc only, so it doesn't apply here besides it's the last zelda game. Im just getting the game for the game alone, and my pc is for everything else [IMG] .

P.S jaggies? how close are you looking [IMG]

I've played the game and in motion you can definitely notice how jaggy everything is.

Do you play in High Definition (480p) mode? E.g. do you play on an LCD-TV? Or is HD even possible with Zelda for the Wii?

It was an LCD-TV. All set up by Nintendo, so I guess they would present the game in the best possible way.

Ahh okay! Well I thought Windwaker looked darn good as well so I'm positive this will rock on the Wii, despite its dated graphics.

It looks ok but not really impressive. I don't care about that much, though. I care about how it plays. Who needs an extremely detailed face if you still punch it using a button?

[IMG] Even the old N64 had Antialiasing [IMG]

XB and GC use four layers of AA.
PS2 doesn`t have [IMG] as far as I can remember...

EDIT: Wait a minute.... The Last Zelda Game?
What have you been reading? [IMG]

yep, twilight princess is the last traditional style zelda game, expect more games like fourswords, tingle rpg, phantom hourglass.

and about the anti aliasing, can someone back it up with some official confirmation? because even the DS can handle AA'ing if you know how to do it right.

The one on the left has no AA. The one on the right does, which is shown up clise on the enlarged picture.

This is an example of AA in a game scene. The one on the right has no AA. The one on the left has 8x AA. Notice the disappearance in jaggies on the stick, shirt and shoes of the right figure.

I was reading in Joystiq the Wii Displays use component cables, so there's some more high res to squeeze out. It may be hard to get used to lower res if you already use HDdvd and Xbox360 but it's more that enough for most houses. geeks already feel 1080i sucks, so may not get approved by the rich nerdy freaks or early adopters as they are "politely" called now...
