if i convert my 3ds to cias, there a risk of ban? sorry my noob question, and my bad english.
You will be fine. CIAs are using the console ID, so it technically is unique.
what is unique? the cia? no cias don't have to be unique and wouldn't be if you did it this way.
cias with a console id do not install, that is why we cannot install perfect legit backups made with FunkyCIA.
but sure, there is nothing to worry about, nintendo doesn't really ban us.
I could be worng, but I've read everywhere that CIAs are using the console ID as their header. so they couldn't be banned.
yeah you misunderstood it, to play roms with gw and sky3ds, we need a cart header with and id in it, without we get an error.
but for installed games, there is nothing like that, information from the console is used (instead of from the cart)
we could still get banned for digital games, if nintendo really wanted to ban us, because there is an illegitimate tickcet on the system, and the game would not registered to our console/nnid on their servers.
as opposed to with physical games/gw or sky3ds, where nintendo can't see if we bought the game or not, so in a way sky3ds is safer.
but nintendo doesn't really ban so it doesn't really matter!
thanks for response, and i say cias, for my bad english. for say plural... a forget it. thanks for all.
Would putting NAND CID as a .3ds rom header work?
the 3ds files need more information than just the unique id.
and i think the id from the 3ds wouldn't work. maybe though.
