Gaming theory about botw timeline placement

just watched this video and an interresting theory is this one

botw could be the first game of a fourt timeline. Just like the downfall timeline, it would be a "what if" timeline
what if zelda didnt send link back in time at the end of ocarina of time.

the guy explains that it could mean that event in both child and adult timeline could happen in this one.

The video you posted explains the theory pretty well, though comes to a different conclusion about it. I don't really remember exactly though.

well something we can be sure of is that its a case amongst those:

happens between majoras mask and twilight princess. since ganondorf dies in tp
happens between ocarina of time and wind waker, since ganondorf dies in ww
happens in downfall timeline, since its the only timeline where we keep seeing ganon (not ganondorf)
a fourth timeline, as mentionned before.
happens between skyward sword and ocarina of time
a reboot
personally, id go with tne third since we only sees ganon (not ganondorf) and it would be the first third person view 3D game in this timeline

there are more threads on this, but i think it comes in after phantom hourglass.
It would explain why the master sword is all rusted, why the korok are there.
But thats just my guess. Im sure They will update the Zelda book

My theory is that it's a branch off the Adult timeline where Link is put into stasis and woken up to face the Calamity, which prevents the flood that leads to the events of Wind Waker

EDIT: Just watch'd the video. So much of the video makes sense. My head is spinning...still think it takes place in the downfall timeline...somewhere
