A limited-edition Xbox One X is on the way. Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One X will be getting a limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 version, along with a custom controller. It sports a gray and yellow color scheme and glow in the dark paint, while the controller is half-silver, half-black. The console itself is the 1TB variation of the Xbox One X, and will be available later this June, slightly ahead of Cyberpunk 2077's official launch on September 17th.

I tend to like special edition consoles, and I greatly look forward to this game, but man that is one ugly looking special edition console. Which is a shame because I only want to see more special editions, it's great to have a variety of choices, just a shame when the aesthetics don't look great. It's like those 4 special edition Godzilla consoles, 3 of them looked great, and one simply looked terrible.

Im by far no xbox fan (own absolutely 0 xbox consoles) but this looks good. Dont make any sense if it doesnt come with cyberpunk 2077 though

Anyway, meh, I don't like it! I just don't rate special edition consoles, give me the boring black colours anyday, who the fukk wants something like THAT in their living room? (But that's just me!)
As far as special edition consoles go though, that is one of the most impressive ones I've seen ...and I'd take the controller anyday - sell it separately MS!!

I have seen some people getting limited edition console was high and excited turn into gave up and sold it to pawn shop. Nonsense.

It doesn't mean anything to me. A regular console will do just fine. And less expensive. SMH.

Why did they have to port the damn genre to consoles... that's like porting osu! to a console. Nowadays FPS goes on console first, then PC. It's like companies forgot the genre's upbringing. And it's not even like companies are embracing gyro so maybe accuracy can be better on consoles and players can at least aim properly, gyro shooters are limited to switch, and switch is the least likely platform for shooters to be on. PS4 has gyro but no devs use it. And Xbox has no gyro even though it's the one that needs it the most since the playerbase on xbox is usually fat 14 year olds with mountain dew who ONLY play COD and battlefield.
It baffles me too because PC's usually the platform where these games sell the highest (and the platform they develop these games on).. and yet companies perfer releasing on PC only when it's multiplat, because they'd rather wait 2-3 years before they rake up major sales.

LOL! A completely new model with a new case and controller that would require retooling is way too expensive to simply help them move "old stock." Uh, no. That's not it.

Not that any gamer will have any money left in September to buy things like "collectible" consoles anyway. The "new" normal does not including wasting money.

anyone who buys this is making a bad purchase, becuase series X will release before the end of the year, it will support xb1 games and even make them better performancewise, so investing in a one x seems pointless.

Very bizarre news amid reports that MS are ceasing production on the S and the X and having retailers run their stock down in preparation for the next gen system... probably just reskinning some of the massive backstock they've been saddled with.
