Yeah that what im asking. How they decrypt the real card to dump it an how they emulate it to work:D I believe nobody knows ..
The procces of dump the real cart is open source and you can look to it on https://github.com/DarkMatterCore/nxdumptool/

and the way you can emulate a Secure MMC from files is the secret sauce, may be you can deduct it reading the Secure eMMC documentation and the FPGA instructions.

Cool. To this point i know everything that you explained but i would like to know what is the "secret sauce" on the device and what exactly is on those firmware files (update.s2) that you need to upload to SD card? Anyone exploited this topic furthermore?
While no one has cracked the software yet, I've got some potential information + pseudocode that could be a good place to start in post #1762.

Allegedly a few years ago someone decapped the Lotus chip and a picture of 1 layer was shared publicly somewhere on Twitter. No one knows what happened then but you can probably guess that someone paid for all the layers in highest resolution to extract the keys needed to make the Mig work. That plus the source code for the Lotus firmware leaked along with the gigaleaks but no secrets in there.

Just wondering like, has there been any bans from non mixed dumps of people's own title dumps.
Same here, from the sound of it the mig is just an exact copy of your physical game so the switch doesn’t know. You can probably even share or have your original cart be used by a family member and still be okay. Just don’t play, or be on line at the same time with the original copy and mug copy.

I’ve had my wife use my original copy, and I use the mig copy… still no ban for either switches. Again I think the key is not to be online at the same time.

Have you tried using one real cart instead of two migs?
I have this dock and one Mig v1, but I haven't used it very much. If I get time, I'll see whether I can reproduce the issue...

I've tried using one Mig v1 and another original cart. The same issue occurs. I also figured out this is some sort of Mig v1 behaviour after you start a game it seems to be locked in, unless you insert the cart, then eject the cart as the light is green. Then it becomes unlocked and upon next insert moves to the next game. I found this on the MigFlash FAQ on their site:

Solid green LED

The ROM was successfully loaded. Everything OK.

If you want to switch to the next game you must eject immediately when the LED turns green.
This is required to unlock the Mig Flash from the last launched ROM.

Yes. At least one of the dumper or installer apps can install straight from cartridge I'm pretty sure. As you've already paid for the full convenience of a modded Switch, just install the games, then you can run them all from the menu without all the button cycling and cartridge switching nonsense.

I've only followed the NH Switch Guide and on top of that got the MigDumpTool. What is the other tool that can install the cart directly. Will that allow getting updates peer to peer with my non modified switch?

What about using same Certificate.bin for all of my games? For example cert from my own game. I theory it should run?
may be run, but is an automatic ban.

seriously, please read the thread before asking that has been answered several times before, even the MIG team explain it on their page.

How about rebooting the console? Does that unlock the mig for game switching?
No it does not. Only the green light eject or deleting the index file of the MIG micro SD unlocks it

One thing I found interesting about some Mig Dumper dumped games not running, but if the same cartridge is dumped via the MigDumpTool it works. Only a few of my cartridges have exhibited this behaviour and re-dumping the game with the Mig Dumper doesn't change the outcome.

I checked the files via SHA256 hash and the Mig Dumper dumps them the same consistently. If I compare the SHA256 has of the Card Set ID, Card UID, Certificate, and Initial Data, between the Mig Dumper dump, and the MigDumpTool dump of the same cartridge, the SHA256 hashes match. However, the xci file size always differs. The MigDumpTool dumps are always larger. Maybe this has something to do with the Mig Dumper dumps sometimes failing.

Unlock Switch posted on twitter an ai generated image of Mario and the castle in the background with the "purple" flag but no live video yet.
I bought the mig switch v2, but as always, they seem to be having fun making users wait. It's ridiculous that the firmware hasn't even been distributed to testers.
