Depends on how you'll use it.

If you're making full backups of your own games and placing them on MIG Switch, therefore using MIG Switch as intended, you'll be good.

However, if you intend to use publicly available dumps (preferably full, not mixed i.e. XCI and initial data from one game, the other certs from another, donor game), there's a risk that you might get your console banned, especially if there's someone else playing the same game at the same time. I'm not sure if staying offline matters in that case, not sure if telemetry collects data about when and which game you've played. If your console is banned, you'll be able to get game updates: 1) if they are available on the official cart or 2) by matching the version locally with another Switch that has the game on a higher version. DLC, however, will be available only if it's on the cart already or you've legally downloaded it from the eShop before you got banned. Note that, even if your console is banned, you can still and will receive firmware updates.
So if I never plan to use online dumps, then there's no risk? Having my entire library at all times sounds tempting as hell...

That's how the MIG Switch and Dumper are being advertised, tools to make backups of your own collection and play them on the single flashcart from an SD card. As for whether it's safe or not, from what I've seen around here none of the users that used the cart as intended got banned (some even used dumps they've shared with others in a small group they've formed together), only those those didn't follow the official instructions got banned. With that being said, there's no 100% guarantee you won't get banned, but if you use it as intended the chances are pretty close to zero, unless Nintendo decides to do something about it.

Stopped reading this topic weeks ago after losing interest. See that Unlockswitch still hasn't launched and now asking for crypto payments only. Hilarious. Will drop by before Christmas and see if anything actually happened then 🤣

Unlockswitch.... Not the mig gang....
According to the Mig site, when trying to check out, they only accept USDT/ETH right now.
