but the ban is not «WITH THE MIG INSERTED» if you ever put a incomplete game dump on the MIG and played on your console EVEN WITH airplane mode YOU WILL BE BANNED once your console get net connection, because the telemetry data is kept offline until well you know.
I agree. But now once I got the hammer, I can experiment with using donor certs to load games without fear. I'm wondering if I could use one of my old games' certs to boot a random .XCI i have from elsewhere.

Mig Switch 1.15 FW released, supposed to fix some problems with the dumper disconnecting

Change log: 1.1.5: Fixed issue in mig dumper when drive could end up suddenly disconnected at some rare occasions
Holy cow I told them about that months ago. I’m going to have to try this later when I get back to my mac

I was honestly thinking they wherent actually going to try and fix it.

Thanks, updated the firmware still not working. Pokémon has only ever gotten to 7% all other games have worked fine. Very unusually I had the Pokémon card in the switch over night and did a quick swap onto the mig dumper and it made it to 16/17% once and then straight back to 7% every time. Going to try that again. Wonder if it's not getting enough voltage and there a capacitor somewhere that's draining too much? Maybe I'll try USB 2 wires and cross my fingers that slower speeds might do something? Anyway is there somewhere official to report this sort of behaviour for future firmware revisions? Also can I roll back firmware?

The MIG Dumper is only usb 2.0 anyways. Ive found that its very picky at which cables work and which do not.

You can roll back firmware the exact same way as how you updated.

If used as intended, it is safe. It's not designed as a circumvention device, but only as a device to backup your own owned games to one cart.
yeah, as has been said several times here I think, for years all the flashcarts and whatnot devices would use this line with a heavy wink to the camera to cover their butts, so the problem falls on everyone thinking that wink is still there when with the mig it actually means it, and that piracy will bork you with it.

To be fair, if you don't care about online, this doesn't really affect you too much. Everything else still boots.

dont know if this has been asked but
will the mig switch only read xci+ bin files?
is there a program to convert the nsp files to the format the mig switch wants?

You can’t convert files

And the bins need to match the XCi they came from

And using ones you got online will be an insta ban pretty much

YES! of you read the MIG manual and page you will find YOU NEED THE COMPLETE game dump and the only format which have it is the XCI. NSP only contanins game data because NSP is for digital store. XCI is for cartdrige dump.
