Good point, sadly there is no way to program a MIG firmware in to that device, MIG firmware is programmed via SD card and the REAL firmware is encrypted inside the SD Card file, so you can not extract the firmware to put on the FPGA

So, I ordered a mig flash dumper (AKA Mig Switch dumper) from migflash.store about a month ago, and just got an envelope from mig flash in the mail. In the envelope, there was a single Mig Switch V2 cartridge with no box or anything. I just sent them an email from their website, does anyone else have any other advice? Has anyone else had this problem? I can't hack my switch, since it's a refurbished v2, and I don't think I have the skills for a modchip... Help!

Question, can I dump my own games without the dumper? My Switch is already modded but I wanted to dump my own bought games (brand new not used) and play them online without having to carrying my cartridges and without having to buy a dumper when my modded switch can already dump the games.

Anyone tried this yet?

YES!
I recommend using version 0.0.2 of the ("borrowed" code ;)) MIG dumper NRO.

Why not nxdumptool?
MIG dumper is automatically configured to make proper/complete (5 file) dumps with a single click.
Its not doing anything special you can't configure yourself, but its definitely easier for noobs to use/understand.

Its also worth mentioning carts/games larger then 4GB in size when dumped to a FAT32 formatted SD card (recommended) will have a split XCI file output. These splits must be copied together into a single XCI on PC. If using the "USB transfer" option in the homebrew menu to move the files, this will be done for you automatically (also recommended).

Manually the Windows command would look like "copy /b 0 + 1 output.xci" for a two file split dump (three or more keep adding +2 +3 in order).

A quick search on ru and it's easy to find.

I have no plans on using this for piracy personally but was wondering if it is at all possible to integrate fan translation patches into the dumps at all or will those always require CFW? Specifically for Yokai Watch 1 and 4++. I have a v1 but was wanting to play them on my OLED.

Requires CFW. You can't have ANY modified xci files since they wouldn't be properly signed anymore.

please DO NOT aks or publish piracy on the site.

And while we are at it…I wish people would stop sending me DMs about piracy

Someone even said that they are “disappointed” in me because I ignored them and didn’t contribute my own personal games

Hello, all!

I'm having some trouble getting my 1tb MicroSD card to work properly w/ the V2 (Team [Group] Pro+ V30-class ; look up "TPPMSDX1TIA2V3003" on Newegg to abide by new user link restriction). I've tried each FW version for the V2 and it still fails to read any of my dumps off of this specific card. Made sure the drive is formatted exFAT and haven't had any issues writing to or reading from the card otherwise.

I've had success with a SanDisk 16GB Speed Class 2 and a Silicon Power 256GB UHS Speed Class 1 so far. I'm aware that MIG Flash sells SanDisk 512GB/1TB/1.5TB cards and I'm curious if each model sold is Class U3 or different based on capacity. Either way, I'm wondering if any of you have thoughts as to if there's something I'm missing regarding getting this Team card to work properly or if only SanDisk cards are "known good" for the capacity.

Any input or assitance is appreciated. Thanks!

The MIG is just really picky with what SD cards it likes. I know sanddisk works but it’s also not a 1tb I heard those are more hit or miss

That being said avoid the MiG branded SD cards those are almost certainly fake low quality sd cards and if they work it won’t be for long
