No they can't. Please throw out either your 3DS or Switch. They're like the worst kind of dogs and cats. They will fight all the time.
Yes, yes they can... A lot of the games can probably run on both platforms if the developers so wish. I still think the 3DS will slowly lose it's momentum when the Switch picks up the pace. I however don't think the 3DS will by any means be dead in the water.
The 3DS still have a big installbase but for example Indie games it's a perfect opportunity to have it on both systems.
Well this was posted in the wrong place... see here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/3ds-and-switch-can-they-live-together.470202/#post-7299178
The sarcasm is strong with this one
So is the necrobumping dude... seriously why?
He's a necrophiliac?
The 3DS and Switch ARE living together, and both are thriving. (I'll let the sales numbers be the proof of that.) Oh, and each system is getting another Metroid game, so there's that.
though I worry that once switch sales slow down to where normal people can get the switch where it's actually seen on store shelves, a general customer may look at the 2 side by side and choose the switch instead. atm, just looking at the shelf you only see the 3ds, and so when they choose a Nintendo system, you likely pick a 3ds, but it could change
My store has plenty of Switches now on the shelf, and 3DS units are fully in stock too. I was assuming the Switch drought was over.
In my country theres tons of Switch and 3DS being sold together as well. The New 2DSXL especially has been selling quite well.
This post was posted accidentally a while back. I cant belive its being used. XD
I hope the 3DS will continue to get new top tier games. I am a big fan of the 3D effect when it is done well. I would love Super Mario 64 3D!
