Ah ha thats where all the jokes went!
Yes its very good, very funny too but seeing as we've been watching it for 17 years with 16-20 episodes a season it is a tad predictable. Luckily its more like the Simpsons of the 90's then of 00's what with none of the characters being parodies of themselves. Could the story have been in one episode? No, maybe in a two parter but definitely not one. Is it as good as South Park move? Hell no! Better than any other TV series turned into a movie? Hell yes!
One of my fears was that it would be a movie that was being made just because they haven't done one, well we know it kinda is but it doesn't show. Its very well written, and though it won't be as good as watching your favorite 4 episodes in a row, it'll definitely have funny moments that will feature in your top 20 Simpsons moments.
One thing I'm glad of is that Homer is an adult again, lately I've felt that he was more of a child than childlike adult. Also Marge is the sensible one again.
So overall a success, OK it could've been better had it been done in the 90's, its not as good as "Who Shot Mr Burns?" but its worth going to see as it'll make you laugh and doesn't hold a single dull moment. Also I reckon its one of those films that'll one of those you'll watch again and probably enjoy it even more. In my opinion I don't think they've could've really made a better film at this point in time.
Pros:
Well written, lots of laughs, some classic moments and never a dull moment.
Cons:
No Sideshow Bob and kinda predictable at times.
8/10
