' Fish says "I hope you choke on a bone!" '
Wow, that's freaking awesome!
Still, i don't think i could eat a live fish X_X
I've actually heard about this before.
Poor little fish, at least it doesn't look like it's in pain, that would just be awful!
(PETA would have a fit over this btw...!)
Why didn't they take a vid on how they cut and ate the fish?
The fish is already prepared and filleted by the chef.

Believe it or not, I've seen worse. There is one method where the chef takes a live fish (I think it has to be a bigger fish than that for it to survive the process), scores it, and very quickly pan fries the tail end, just enough to cook the skin. It is served immediately, before it dies.
IIRC I saw this on one of Anthony Bourdain's shows.
Well at least it's better than live monkey brains.

There's no such thing as a "tradition" of eating the brains of live little monkeys.
And then there's live, still-beating cobra heart.
And then there's the live octopus. In sesame oil and spices.
The freshest i've had was Tuna loin pulled right from the body (read: dead) of an 80 lb. tuna. It was AMAZING. I'd do that again in a heartbeat. However, still living fish is just odd for me .
ARGH STOP posting those things! I think im gonna fall sick!
... says the guy that keeps reading the living food thread.

I never ate at a getamundo bar before and I've been to Japan maybe I'll eat that someday.
Eating an animal because it is still alive is a cruel novelty. I wouldnt do it.
