    Okay. I just wanted to say... don't diss petz >.> All the DS releases are shit for sure... because ubisoft unfortunatly bought it from PF magic/mindscape. HOWEVER, the original Petz were great okay. You could hex edit the petz to make new colours/breedz.... in that sense it had a great "scene". Oddballz was soo great as well, such a quirky little strange game. Petz 2006 and 2008 were just shit because they took on a 3d style instead of the original 2d cartoon style and thats when ubisoft started. Babyz was a great game on PC as well, cute as anything and very enjoyable.

    # 1 Game history

    * 1.1 Dogz and Catz
    * 1.2 Oddballz
    * 1.3 Petz II
    * 1.4 Petz 3
    * 1.5 Petz 4
    * 1.6 Petz 5
    * 1.7 Petz 2006
    * 1.8 Petz 2008
    * 1.9 Babyz
    * 1.10 Dogz and Catz

    I would have been like uh, 7 when i started playing the petz games! Petz rules okay. And creatures! OMG i looovvee creatures. I think there were a few later creatures games that kinda sucked because they took it in the wrong direction but yeah. Ok, to summarise, the petz pc games up to petz 5 rocked.

    Is this because of my comments in the Petz Rabbits thread?

    probably. its because people keep dissing petz instead of ubisoft.

    LOL I'm sorry Little.

    My comments weren't meant to offend and were more sarcastic then anything. I just like to rag on releases such as these. IMHO however, these games Ubisoft has been releasing for the DS do not resemble the original series at all and I quite possibly played them more then you did.

    Sorry, I'll never load a piece of shovelware crap on my card, ever, and it'll be a cold day in hell before I actually pay money for it!

    If you need to hack a game to make it fun, then it's not fun.

    I had the original Catz for my Mac way back when... the little kitty walked across the screen and you could pet it and stuff. Not much too it, and it kinda hogged my CPU.. but it was cute. I didn't realize the ****z games sprang from that.

    This topic is interesting to see that while some people might find that those games are crappy.. there are people who enjoy them.

    Woah.. I remember that.. from 1997 or something.. that was very original at the time.. just realized that Little was talking about those! No idea either that the new ***Z games came from there.. that's sad..

    The PC Petz games were alright, nothing special but it was good to waste 20 odd minutes just spraying a Cat and doping it up with catnip.. Well worth the £1 the pound shop charges for them.

    Oh my god, I've still got it installed! [IMG] I've got the first Catz title, still remember getting a crash course in the hexadecimal number system off my Dad (and I paid more than a pound for it as well). It always wound me up how full-screen mode didn't work they way they said it would; they can't run over the top of other windows while you're working in them.

    I borrowed Catz 2 off a friend once and put 2 of my cats in a room together. My favourite one beat the other one up. [IMG]

    Anything after Petz 2 was shit.

    Petz was actually the first thing I hex edited.

    Petz was great. Loved the fact that when you installed both Catz and Dogz they could interact togheter [IMG]
    I remember alot of sites with funky rainbow cats [IMG]

    Also I remember Creatures... Creatures 2 rocked, Creatures 3 a bit less [IMG]
    Creatures too had an active "Scene", there were LOT of objects, new breeds (fear the Grettin!) and more [IMG]
