First, I'm not including the ability to play 3DS backups on this list because we know it'll probably be an year or so before the 3DS flash carts gain the ability to do that. Besides, until there's dozens upon dozens of 3DS games that I end up with and don't want to carry with me everywhere like I did with the DS and the GBA, I don't really care about 3DS backups anyways.

So sans the 3DS mode, here are my dream features...

    1. The ability to play Gameboy Advance backups without any problems, tested to work on US launch and European Launch 3DSs as well

    2. Obviously, the ability to play your DS, SNES and Sega Genesis backups, off of MicroSDHC cards

    3. A nice looking easy to browse menu like the CycloDS

Optional: The developer or the card itself offers a way to block wifi from connecting to Nintendo's servers, so that you ever have to worry about some doing an update and thus bricking your system, preferably while still being able to play multiplayer.

Optional: The card has a way to hide itself so that there is no record of your 3DS having used a flash cart.

Optional: The DS backups can be played stretched to fit the entire top screen rather than showing a horizontal black bar on each side as is done now. The GBA, SNES and Genesis emulators also playing in widescreen mode goes without saying.

What do you think of my dream feature list? What would you add?

To my knowledge, the ONLY card that meets all the first three requirements (including the ability to play GBA games on the 3DS) is the SuperCard DSTWO am I right? Or am I wrong in that?

We need to wait until there is a working 3ds-enabled flashcard that can play 3ds rom rumps first [IMG]

wikoogle seem to be making a lot of effort to give the impression that he only has roms (sorry I mean backups) of games he actually owns. I can see how carrying your whole SNES/Genesis/NES/DS/GBA collection would be a good reason to buy a flashcart though [IMG]

The perfect 3DS flashcart should have
    - An IR chip
    - An on-board CPU more powerful than the 3DS itself
    - The ability to emulate games from every videogame system made (Wii, PS3, N64).
    - A holographic menu that makes use of the 3D functions
    - A time-travel function
    - AAAAP (Anti-Anti-Anti-Anti-Piracy)
    - Low price ($1 CAD)
    - Downloads 3DS game files automatically using a modified version of SpotPass

I would purchase a flashcart with those features in a heartbeat.

    3DS games work on it.
    3DS can't block it.
    I want "only" this.

The SuperCard DSTWO is the only 3DS card that can play back Gameboy Advance backups right?

And yes, I do have a ton of DS and GBA and Snes and Genesis games. I'm a collector. However, carrying them all around with me wherever I go is a pain. That's what I love about flashcarts. Every game I own fits onto just one 8gb sd card.

So it's very important whatever card I get has GBA emulation via Slot-1

    Yes
Something that plays 3DS backups and ignores the Region Lock would be enough. For any of the other features, we have DS-Mode flashcarts.

i thought of a way to bypass the 3ds bricking system
have the flash cart have the same id number as a real game and make the name and icon the same too

    - Play 3DS backups
    - Region-lock disabled.
    - Ability to install a boot2-like backup, if Nintendo decides to block flashcarts
    - Bypass compulsory system updates on games (if there will be any)
    - Price in the double digits ($50-60 at maximum)
