In short, here are games in the right order :

    Prequel timeline:
    Skyward Sword
    Minish cap
    Four Sword
    Ocarina of time

    Fallen hero timeline :
    A link to the past
    Oracle series
    Link's Awakening
    The legend of Zelda
    Adventure of Link

    Child Link timeline:
    Majora's Mask
    Twilight Princess
    Four Sword adventure

    Adult Link timeline:
    Wind Waker
    Phantom Hourglass
    Spirit Track

As of A link between world, it has been confirmed to be a sequel to a link to the past. But where exactly should it be placed in the timeline. Since Oracles series is direct sequel to a link to the past, as shown in oracle intro, where we see the outro scene of alttp. So about you, where should it be placed exactly?

I know Hyrule Warrior is a spin-off, so it shouldn't be part of the timeline.

Finnaly, about Zelda Wii U, if you are a timeline supporter and care about it, what are your hope? Where do you hope it will be placed in the timeline?

Personally, i think it will be between Skyward Sword and Minish cap

My greatest hope for this Zelda is to see Ganondorf back.
    Lets resume his history.

    Adult timeline :
In ocarina of time, he had been sealed away in the secret realm by Link and the seven sages. But this wasn't a permanent solution, and the godesses knew it. After he broke free, and since the hero of time wasn't comming back, the godesses flooded Hyrule to prevent Ganondorf from harming the rest of the world. This resulted in the event of Wind Waker. At the end of the game, Ganondorf died.

    Child Link timeline :
In ocarina of time, after defeating Ganondorf, Zelda sent Link back to his time to warn the royal family about Ganondorf's plan to conquer Hyrule. This led to a war between Hylian and Gerudo, ending with à genocide. All Gerudo were executed in Arbiter's Ground (the temple in Gerudo desert in Twilight Princess) before Ganondorf's eyes. He supposed to be the last one to be executed, but his rage allowed him to break free from his chain and the execution failed. He was then banished in the Twilight realm. This led to the event of Twilight Princess and at the end of the game, he died.

    Fallen Hero timeline :
This timeline is about what would have happened if Link failed and died at the end of ocarina of time. After Ganondorf succesfully took control of Hyrule, and no one to oppose to his will, the seven sages declared a new war, the seal war. It ended by Ganondorf being sealed away in the Dark World. This led to the event of A Link to the past. At the end of the game, he died.

All Ganondorf seen in other game, such as Four Sword adventure or The legend of Zelda were other incarnation of Ganondorf or resurection (like in oracle series or a link between world)

I really hope we see in Zelda Wii U the very first incarnation of Ganondorf if it really is the direct sequel of Skyward Sword
