The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero fan-translation has been completed, patch release coming soon

For the past couple of years, a fan-translation team has been working on fully translating the Japan-only PlayStation Portable JRPG Zero no Kiseki, perhaps known better to those in the west as The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero. The game, which was developed by Falcom and released in 2010 as part of their Kiseki series, is a direct continuation of the recently localized Trails in the Sky the 3rd. Finally, after a lot of work, the team has finished translating all of the game's script and editing it. Soon, the completed patch will be distributed to early beta testers to find any potential issues with the translation, with the team hoping to publicly release their final patch in the next few months. Currently, the sequel to Zero, Ao no Kiseki, or, Trails of Azure, is completely fan-translated and playable from start to finish.

It's graphically unimpressive, battle system, story and characters are pretty middle of the road ...
very good when you are looking for something with a good old nostalgic JRPG vibe
But the outstanding thing here is the world building!
The details on NPC background stories and world lore is simply astonishing!

If you are looking for a steampunk-ish detailed world with an old school 90s JRPG vibe this series is worth looking into.
