Tsch. Nobody ever mentions that the DS is the third handheld gaming jig released with a touch screen and stylus.

This dude's position on piracy and emulation is fucking stupid. Also he isn't very well informed. Nintendo has used the dirty tricks he describes already and I'm glad they have now given up.

His view on a DS emulator definitely is. Nintendo won't lose many sales to a PC emulator; using a mouse on a computer screen isn't a sufficient substitute for a stylus and I doubt many people are going to muck around with a graphics tablet [IMG].

And he doesn't take into account that most PSP owners who would want to play GBA games have probably jumped ship already. He implies emulator authors only do it to enable piracy, but completely misses the whole hobbyist programmer motivation of "It's never been done, it's a challenge, I'll do it to see if I can." Personally I think companies would jump at the chance to keep people like that; they're the people who are building up their portfolios to become the games programmers of the future. Sounds ironic I know, but it's all about experience in this industry.

On the GBA front, you'd think all the GBA pirate carts would be Nintendo's main focus. I see them even at my local Electronics Boutique.

I still cant help consider the irony of PSP emulation. By far the most popular EMUS on that system are for Nintendo machines. (The GBA emu and the SNES emu are at the top of the list.) If I worked at Nintendo, I'd be pissed as well. Most ot the PSP owners I know only use their machine for emulation purposes anyway.

Aside from that I have no complaints.

    This article is incredibly retarded.
He's blaming Nintendo present for the actions of Nintendo past. Yea yea, Gonpei Yokoi, but the guy is dead. I don't think he had too much say in designing the DS. Nintendo is under much better new management-why should they pay even more for the arrogance of their former president?

His ideas about emulation and piracy are just way too idiotic to even discuss. Sounds like the guy hasn't even used an emulator before. And to think that Nintendo doesn't know it needs to get rid of ROM sites..c'mon!

    Worst DS article, EVER.

Becauses Yamauchi still has power in the company. Some say he still controlls the company through his puppet and hand chosen successor, Satoru Iwata.

You have a lot to learn about Nintendo my friend.

(And doesn't he say something about how he likes emulators and how he thinks the original SMB should become a public domain title?)

That article had me [IMG] all over the place, yeah a working emulator is going to kill the DS just like it did the GBA [IMG].

    - The writing style resembles that of a conspiracy nut.
    - "Please don't provide sources when you're pulling stories and stats out of your ass" is a sentence that passed through my head pretty often while reading the articles (OMG SONY FINANCES A ROMZ SITE JUST COS ONE DUDE RECEIVED A 500$ PAYPAL DONATION AND HE DIDN'T KNOW WHO DID IT, get the fuck out, dude, what's next, TEH JOOS DID WTC?)

Anyway, this guy rambles like the bible-reading-aloud lunatic you pass by on the street corner and don't notice. I want my ten minutes back.

Although, I agree with the fact that most PSP owners are very proud of owning a 250$ GBA emulator.

An interesting read but I think it sucks. More of a random series of random thoughts with brainfarts in between which some are either under/mis-informed or his opinion entirely. The interesting bits are just "reposts" of things that you could have already read. I'd rather read forums to see these kinds of shit. [IMG]

Oh and best accessories? The things he mentioned are made of yawn and shitsuck.

Edit: I just reread what I posted and I said "interesting read". I lied. [IMG]

His PSP bashing was fun to read but it's becoming more and more clear that it was only fun to read because he was bashing the PSP, not because it was well thought out... [IMG]

I thought that part was funny. Maybe you should click the link and listen to the song?

(And does't the writer think its all just a coincidence?)
