This isn't an issue with the new plugins pack, i just need some troubleshooting help. Suddenly Wiituka is no longer autorunning games that i choose via Wiiflow? I have just added like 1194 ROMs to the collection. It is also strangely slow to start up in the first place. If i try to use th commands to run it, by typing |tape following by RUN", it says "Press the PLAY button and then hit any key" (not verbatim) but i'm not sure if there's even a virtual PLAY button at all? So it just kinda hangs there unless i hit the ESC key on the keyboard. What am i doing wrong?

I have around 350 roms and it seems to be running ok speed wise. It is not auto-booting for me either but some games do require command IIRC. Maybe the different rom path being used is causing games not to auto-boot?

Launched 1942 and forced to use commands.
I typed CAT, hit enter
Then typed RUN"1942.BAS" and it launched and plays properly for me.

I'll test some more and see if I can find a way to get this emulator to auto-boot again.

Me too. Maybe that is causing the auto-boot issue? Recently I have just been using cap32 RA to play CPC and GX4000 games. That emulator is a pleasant surprise and it autoboots everything.
Wait, does it autoboot CPC games? Could make that a CPC plugin then right? Or is this the thing where i need to convert CPC ROMs to GX4000? I feel like WIituka used to behave where i could click on a ROM in the ROM list and it would autoplay that ROM.

BTW

I figured out I think why i was having trouble with Cap32 running GX4000 games before and narrowed it down to two specific files. Try deleting \retroarch\config\cap32\cap32.cfg and cap32.opt and see if cap32 actually plays and autoboots GX4000 games then. If it doesn't, I'd like to propose adding those two files to the Main plugins pack and not just keeping them in the 16:9 plugin additions. Just those two files, you don't need the other ones.

Edit: Also, i still haven't managed to get Amiga games running yet, like, at all. i will try to revisit this eventually.

Yes it's the converted CPC to CPR roms I'm using.

I'll delete those files and test.

Just noticed the damn wiituka.ini doesn't have support for .disk files either. SMH :nayps3:

oh shit, does that mean i'm using the wrong ROMs?
Edit: Oh nvm, it only supports .zip files, lol whoopsie. though tbf, i guss that means this .ini file doesn't give me any information about what formats Wiituka DOES support.

Added .dsk extension no auto-boot.

Type CAT...
Drive A: disc missing

Wiituka only supports .zip files WTH

I'll try a different rom path.
--------

I actually did not have cap32.cfg in the folder, however when I removed cap32.opt it no longer autoboots.

I've uploaded a copy of i think all the relevant files for the wiituka plugin, so i guss this is "my build", if you wanna test this specifically. also included a ROM and its cache file, for kicks / seeing if its maybe my ROM set, too.
i only kept cap32.opt and it works perfectly
tried to start a rom from wiituka (atom ant) and it works correctly
Aha duly noted, i didn't fully test. Thank you for confirming! You too RunningSnakes. that .opt file needs to exist, or at least something about it is necessary for the plugin to properly boot a game and thus should be included in th main folder.

Lazertag is running but I still must use commands with Wiituka.
I just placed your script in the WFL.cfg file. Maybe it Wii see and launch from original Wiituka DISKS folder?

Yes the cap32.opt must be required in order for cap32 to auto-boot.

Sorry, not script but the RegEx line you provided some days ago.
oh gotcha, yeah it should fix that particular issue, but i thought it was working from \ROMS\Amstrad\CPC already? Unless I'm just lying to myself about that? I could be, my short term memory isn't great. I do wonder if the ROMS being in the DISKS folder will fix it.

Also, did you get cap32 running these types of ROMs directly, the CPC ones? if so could you post your setup for that? I can probably go ahead and add the magic number to my own platform.ini

Edit: Also, how am i supposed to scroll the filelist while in wiituka itself?

pressing home or select disk icon in the lower left
When i push "Home" it does bring up a list of ROMs if i'm in Wiituka the app and not the plugin, But that being said i dont see any scroll buttons or anything

Edit: Oh yeah, the autobooting feature not only doesn't work when i first try to load a ROM via wiiflow, but also continues to not work if i try to, say, pick (one of the four visible) ROMs from within the program.

It does autoload ROMs if i click them in Wiituka itself, but once again, i cannot seem to scroll the ROM list. The first two entries are "." and ".." and then i just see four ROMs visible and as far as i can tell, no way to scroll?

Quando premo "Home" viene visualizzato un elenco di ROM se sono in Wiituka l'app e non il plug-in, ma detto questo non vedo alcun pulsante di scorrimento o altro

So even after changing the ROM dir to \apps\wiituka\DISKS, it's still not autobooting games from Wiiflow. I did eliminate the load time issue by updating the romcache (not sure how that happened, it seemed like the first two times it would have been updated it wasn't, but maybe i was looking in th wrong place somehow... but it happened the third time).

So here's what i'm seeing: when i pick a ROM from wiiflow, it boots wiituka and just displays "ready" on the console. I then push the home button, and instead of a full ROMlist, i only see the . and .. buttons. If i click either of those buttons, it takes a minute but then the romlist properly loads. If i then try to select a ROM from there, it still doesn't autoboot whatever i selected. It will only autoboot a ROM from wiituka if I select it from the original Wiituka app via HBC. I hope that makes sense. Im posting about it here in case it helps in the fixing process.
