I gotta say those sherbert flying saucers were the greatest shit.

I was in America recently and thought I would try some I found there.

The paper was thick enough that I had to chew it, and once inside we got what can only be described as nasty ice cream sprinkles.

Granted it was technically not the Americans that butchered that one as it said made in Belgium on the back.

Compared to the ones I found in the UK before I left where the moisture on my what I thought were dry lips was enough to dissolve it and the sherbet (by the Americans sherbet is not a type of ice cream but citric acid and sugar) was enough that even my raw citric acid nibbling habits appreciated it...
Now that was a particularly special example, tried finding some after I got back (easier said than done as well, guess it is a rarer traditional sweet these days) and they were not that nice, vimto ones found in the same wander were pretty nice though (also saw they did the boiled egg efforts as well so might see if I can find those next).
