What's sad though... Lucha Libre wasn't this violent when I was a child.
It was actually fun to watch because it had more acrobatics than anything else.
It began to turn violent when a certain channel started to transmit the WWE wrestlings here in my country, around 2005.
So, Lucha Libre began to lose audience, and they started to do this stupid shit where they'd hit each other with metal bars, iron chairs, tables, stepladders and other heavy stuff.
El Hijo del Perro Aguayo is just one of many.
It was actually fun to watch because it had more acrobatics than anything else.

Yes, it's said that, in the video where he's thrown by Rey Mysterio, when he threw El Hijo del Perro Aguayo, he severyly damaged his cervicals, and he should've stopped moving, but instead he got on the ring once again, and when he received Rey's sigature move (619) it was already too late for him to recover... then the bald dude instead of taking him to the hospital he shacked this guy and that's the cherry on top.
I remember hearing that El Hijo del Perro Aguayo died on it's way to the hospital, and media was blaming Rey Mysterio for the death of this guy.
It's unfair... but... I mean... if you're a Luchador you know what you're getting into... that's why they train, don't they?
This is why I stopped watching Lucha Libre since early 2000's.
Also... those muscles are all steroids... how healthy can they be?
