Bethesda just published an epic live action (ie. not computer-made) trailer for his upcoming game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, scheduled for release on 11.11.11 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

I was going to say it stinks they didn't add any real Argonians.....

But..... that was just too awesome not to compliment. That was sweet. Now I want Skyrim more and an Elder Scrolls movie.

You can play both Oblivion and Skyrim in both the 3rd person and the 1st person.

Also, I'm just going to drop this link here:

Skyrim (official) hype thread

It must have cost quite a bit of money to make this trailer, I really hope it pays off. Skyrim I can't fucking wait!

I don't know, that dragon looked pretty "computer made" to me,

Anyway, this was a little bit silly and unnecessary. If this was supposed to impress me, it failed; it was just underwhelming. Using actual gameplay footage would have been a better idea.

however 3rd person is pretty bad
kinda hard to explain it but it was like your character was skating on top of the ground rather the walking
I have no idea if they fixed it for skyrim but fallout 3 and nv also had the same wonky walking physics

It's a completely different engine, I'm sure they've listened to the fans and criticism. You can be sure it will feel better.

I was also waiting for an Argonian, Khajiit or even a Dunmer. I wouldn't say this is Elder Scrolls if I didn't know it was. But then again, they're not making this video to please raging fans like me that are going to buy the game anyway. They're making this video to draw attention to their game and that's what it's doing.

I'm almost done reading through Lord of Souls btw. :) That's what's really pumping me up for Skyrim. I'm already looking forward to digging through ingame libraries to see if I can find any books on the events of that novel.
