Hacking the device inserted in the sd card slot can't be used

Hi All,

I've searched everywhere and seen a few posts reporting a simlar problem, but none really seem to apply to me...

From the System Menu, I either click on the SD icon, or go into the Wii / Data Management settings and select SD (data/channel) and I get...

"the device inserted in the sd card slot can't be used"

Cards tried are all SD (not SDHC) 2 GB or less and are still happily recognized by HBC and USBLoader - just not by the System Menu (or Photo Channel for that matter)

I've updated to 4.1 (courtesy of Waninkoko) and no change.

PS: If it helps, I have BootMii but do not have PreLoader.

I would have never believed it if I hadn't seen it...

Because the SD worked in HBC channel, I figured the format was fine, but then (just for $#!+ and giggles) I tried the Panasonic format app with full erase - it solved the problem - Beautiful!
