Gaming The big N is the Big Brother

Got 2 emails from big N today:
- email 1 to thank me for registering MP trilogy
- email 2 below
CODEDear Nintendo Customer,

It has come to our attention that you may have mistakenly
received an email thanking you for registering a copy of
Metroid Prime: Trilogy at Club Nintendo even though you have
not registered that game. We apologize for any
inconvenience or confusion such email may have caused you.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of
Nintendo.

I am worried about this, as it means my Wii is sending info to Big N. I have a 4.1 laucnh US Wii with Wiiconnect24 disabled and I also chose not to share information about my game stats ... etc. My wireless router is also set to block traffic to "nus.cdn.shop.wii.com" and "nus.shop.wii.com".
Do you know what other nintendo servers I need to block access to to prevent info being without my knowledge?

the wii doesn't send them any data
they just found out that they send a mail to the wrong person ...

Just dont worry, im sure they will of mistakenly send u an email. and i even if they do no what ur playing its doesnt effect u. U cant get banned on the wii like u can on say the 360 and so dont worry. Im always playing games of my hdd and if nintendo no watch u then they no i play them illegaly ( Well i do have originall copies for most ) but nothing ever happened to me.

So basically dont worry

sounds like a scam. Like they want you to respond, and then ask for like personal information or something. Don't worry.

I am not too worried about it, found it interesting that I got the mail the next day I finally tried MP trilogy.
Anyone else seent something similar?

It was just a mistake club nintendo made. They sent emails thanking people for buying trilogy even if they didnt. Its just a coincidence. You should have gotten an apology email by now.

I think you need to tighten that tin foil hat a bit mr. conspiracy theory.

Club Nintendo gets your email if you ever GAVE them it only when it was that or their previous online mailer service. IF you register a game they have surveys, rarely free stuff, and other bs. Some glitch in their computer tagged you, ME, and a lot of others as buying it and it's an OOPSIE mail, nothing more or less.
