Alright. I'm confused now. I'm so confused that I don't even know if I should continue with my file. I got a few questions that I would like to be answered.

    1) So, what is the better patch right now? I don't care about the "quality of English" as long as it offers some playability. I'm currently using Kazo's patch (2.5b I think) and the latest version is out (2.5d). Then there's Raqib patch and I read that the Acekard 2 is compatible and there are no errors. I'm aware of Rudolph's patch and it seems that it is incorporated in Raqib's patch. So which is the more stable one?

    2) Is Rudolph's patch the most stable anti-freeze patch out there yet? Is it the best one there, if there is still no "perfect" one?

    3) Which threads related to HG/SS patching are recommended for bookmarking?

    4) So I'm using Kazo's patch and I've made some progress already (7 badges). If I decide to use the other patch instead, would I need to make a new save file? Because I'm worried about incompatibilities and stuff (Raqib's patch uses Katakana names while the other doesn't.)

I would appreciate the help very much. Too much threads out there. A thread with a compilation of important links would be VERY helpful. I won't need it, but it may benefit others...

You have two options to works perfectly...

    1- Use a M3 Real 4.4 and still freezes 2 or 3 times in a day or...
    2-Use Rudolph's patch or Rudolph's patch+English v3.0 (Raquib)

*NOTE: In the moment you SAVE with any rom with rudolph patch applied, the savegame won't works with the original (clear rom) or any version who didn't have rudolph...

I would stick with my AK2i thank you very much...

So I risk compatibility with ANY version of the ROM other than the Rudolph-patched-ROM and I get improved stability?

    I am using Rudolph's pathch.
    ONLY Rudolph's patch, no translation.

I have played through the game, 19 hours. NO FREEZE. No problems using WiFi. So I gues the patch is perfect.

Use the translation patch if you feel that pokemon games needs translation(lol?)

    OK thanks! I'll try those.

So which one do I apply first? The translation or the anti-freeze?

IMO, Kazo's V3 patch is the best. It just came out an hour or 2 ago.
But you need Rudolph patched ROM first.

I agree I've only started the game but everything is intact and works perfectly. Doesn't freeze when walking in and out of the door or anything [IMG]

With Rudolph's patch along with 4.4 firmware would that fix the freezing issue? Or will Rudolph's patch+English v3.0 with 4.4x fix the freezing issue?

    Thanks

I need Rudolphs patch. My ROM of Heartgold came partly translated already (I googled it) which meant I didn't have to patch it my self. But I still need Rudolphs [IMG]. I'm on a mac so I can't use GBAtemp's patch and I'm pretty sure nobody has uploaded a ROM anywhere with this patch. I REALLY want GBAtemp's patch! boohoo......
