Hey guys. I read the frequently asked questions of 360's and there it was recomended that the verbatim brand was pretty good. Just wondering if there has been any new info released on the matter? And also want other people opinions on which brand/type they think is best.

Any help is apreciated, Thanks!

Another question, does it matter if it's + or - R?

I bought DVD-R DL (verbatim) thinking it would made no difference...
but actually DVD-R DL dont work... only +R do.
IIRC I couldnt actually burn more than half of the disc on -R discs.

For the xbox360 I will say that Verbatims are the best. Better reading times and less stress on the lens. From my experience dealing with backups since from the time of PS2 the quality and brand does matter. Better quality means less stress on your lens therefore making your lens last longer. If you continue to use cheap media your lens will die faster and you will have to purchase a new lens. Try to burn at around 4X to 8X. And DVD+R DL only for the 360

Yes, as others have said, Verbatim. My cousin uses Sony and he has no problem so I suggest that as well. ALWAYS use +R. Also, don't burn faster than 4x. I personally use 2.4x.

Verbatim are great, although they are a little costly.

I use Ritek/Ridata also. They are alot cheaper and you only get the occasional coaster.

But like scruffman said, your lens may take more of a beating if you use a brand other than verbatim.

BTW I only burn 360 backups at 2.4x.

devkitPro by defaults use C and C++. So I suppose you start off with C first and then move onto C++.

Because C++ is more complex than C.
