THE BEATLES ROCK BAND + DLC + WORKING ABBEY ROAD (WiiU EASY INSTALL & TUTORIAL)

Before I start, I would like to give credit to the individuals who worked hard on this! Both GBATemp and Youtube!
    @Vince19Drums (GBATemp)
    @alexander1970 (GBATemp)
    @HarvHouHacker (GBATemp)

    Mitchell Watson (YouTube)

OVERVIEW: This tutorial will walk you through installing a vWii Title of "The Beatles - Rock Band" on your Wii U. Injecting the DLC, Configuring your vWii, Configuring USB Loader GX, and provide you with the files needed.

PREREQUISITES: YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING INSTALLED AND WORKING ON YOUR WII U!
    - Haxchi, Mocha CFW (Wii U): Need Help? Click Here!

***NOTE*** Mocha CFW is available on the Homebrew App Store.
    - Wuphax, HackMii, Homebrew 1.4 Launcher (vWii): Need Help? Click Here!
    - USB Loader GX (vWii): Need Help? Click Here!
    - WinRAR installed on your PC
    - 4gb or More USB Stick (Recommended: Dedicated to This Install) (Formated FAT32)(Highest Allocation Size)
    - 2gb or More SD Card (Recommended: Dedicated to This Install) (Formatted FAT32)(Highest Allocation Size)
***NOTE*** If you are using an SDXC card and cannot format FAT32, google and download a free application on your PC call GUIFormat. Then you can format the SD card, make sure to use the highest allocation size. Testing and working with my 64gb SDXC Card.
    - Rock Band/Guitar Hero Instruments for the Original Wii

    ***NOTE***
This Tutorial will include files for UStealth, cIOS beta52, IOS80, USB Loader GX (UStealth Boot.dol), and a EmuNAND Dump. If you already have any of these hacks aside from the EmuNAND Dump installed on your vWii, you can skip those steps. HOWEVER, if you have cIOS beta53 installed, you will need to downgrade to cIOS beta52. Instructions will be as provided in this tutorial!

    ***WARNING***
I DO NOT recommend extracting the SD Card contents provided in this tutorial with your already homebrew loaded SD card for prior hacking/soft modding. I would solely get a blank SD card and use that SD card for The Beatles - Rock Band solely! This will prevent errors loading the game. As far as the vWii Game Title goes, you may install The Beatles- Rock Band to either a fresh USB or the USB you currently have with all your other game titles loaded for USB Loader GX.

Step 1: Download the Following .rar files!
    - EXTRACT_TO_PC.rar (Click to Download)
    - EXTRACT_TO_USB.rar (Click to Download)
    - EXTRACT_TO_SD.rar (Click to Download)

Step 2: Extract .rar files to the root folder of the USB and SD Cards.
    - USB should have a "nand2" Folder and a "wbfs" Folder
    - SD should have an "apps", "config", "nand2", "saves", "SNEEK", "src", "wad", "wiiU" Folder and a few extra files.

Step 3: Extract .rar file to your PC.
    - You should now see a Ustealth application.
    - Open Ustealth as Administrator (Right-Click, Run as Admin)
    - Double Click on USB Drive/Stick to hide it!
    - DO NOT Click on any other drives/cards!

***NOTE*** If you ever need to plug in that USB to your PC again, your PC will not recognize it and maybe try to format it unless you open up Ustealth again and double click it to Un-Hide it. Then unplug USB and re-plug into PC.

Step 4: Plug in USB and Insert SD Card into Wii U.
    - You MUST plug in USB to the back of the Wii U in the TOP USB Slot!
    - Insert SD Card into the front of the Wii U.

Step 5: Start up Wii U and access your Wii Menu.
    - Go to your Homebrew Channel.
    - Open up Patched IOS80 Installer.

***WARNING*** THIS WILL START THE PATCH IMMEDIATELY AFTER 30 SECONDS!
DO NOT TURN OFF POWER DURING IOS80 INSTALL! THIS WILL RESULT IN vWII BRICK!

    Step 6: Install/Downgrade to cIOS Beta 52.
    - Go to your Homebrew Channel
    - Open up d2x cIOS Installer.
    - Select cIOS : <d2x-v10-beta2-vWii>
    - Select cIOS base : <56>
    - Select cIOS slot : <249>
    - Press A to install and wait for installation to finish.
    - Press A to continue.
    - Select cIOS : <d2x-v10-beta2-vWii>
    - Select cIOS base : <57>
    - Select cIOS slot : <250>
    - Press A to install and wait for installation to finish.
    - Press A to continue.
    - Select cIOS : <d2x-v10-beta2-vWii>
    - Select cIOS base : <58>
    - Select cIOS slot : <251>
    - Press A to install and wait for installation to finish.
    - Press B to Exit.

Step 7: Open up USB Loader GX and Configure Settings.
    - Go to your Homebrew Channel.
    - Open up USB Loader GX
    - Click on the Settings icon located in the Bottom Left-Hand corner.
    - Open up Loader Settings.
    - Change Nand Saves Emulation to "Full".
    - Change Nand Chan. Emulation to "Full".
    - Go Back.
    - Open up Custom Paths Settings.
    - Change Nand Emu Path to "sd:/nand2/"
    - Change Nand Emu Channel Path to "sd:/nand2/"
    - Go Back to Main USB Loader GX Screen.
    - If you don't see The Beatles - Rock Band game. Click on the 4th Icon and ensure "Wii Games" are selected!

Step 8: Configure The Beatles - Rock Band Settings.
    - Click on the game.
    - Click on Settings.
    - Click on Game Load.
    - Change Block IOS Reload to "Auto".
    - Ensure Game IOS is "Use Global" or "249" if unsure of IOS.
    - Change Nand Emulation to "Full".
    - Change Emu Path to "sd:/nand2/"
    - HIT SAVE BEFORE EXITING

***NOTE*** Never use the "Extract Save to EmuNand" Feature with The Beatles - Rock Band!

Step 9: Play the Game and Ensure you see the 3 S's!
    S 1 - SD Stutters - Music Repeats
    S 2 - Save File opens up SMILEy67 - When Joining Quickplay
S 3 - Songs + DLC are Displayed - Abbey Road Songs are Playable!

    VIDEO DEMONSTRATING THE 3 S's!

***NOTE*** Sometimes opening The Beatles - Rock Band in a EmuNAND emulation will cause the Wii Remotes to desync. If your wii remotes keep blinking and not connecting upon starting the game via USB Loader GX. Press the sync button on the Wii Remotes and your Wii U console. Then after the Wii Remotes connect, plug them into your Instruments. Also, because of the EmuNAND load, sometimes exiting the game will cause the Wii U to freeze. Just unplug the Wii U if that happens, plug it back in and turn it back on. No harm done to the vWii or USB/SD. I recommend just shutting off you Wii U instead of exiting the game.

Hopefully this works for you guys, I went through about 40 hours worth of work to get all the settings right and files ready for you to easily extract to the proper source. If you run into any issues please let me know! As far as other The Beatles - Rock Band tutorials go, a lot of them are using an original Wii or Dolphin 5.0, I created this thread specifically with Wii U owners in mind. A lot of the other sources tell you to place the EmuNAND in partial and to install the .wad files, ect, ect.... I'M HERE TO TELL YOU NOT TO. Just use the Nand Dump and wbfs I provided. Thanks and enjoy Rocking! After I'm done rocking out to this full game I might work on RB3 + DLC or even better... getting customs in RB2.

    Impressive work... But...

I can't help but wonder whether this is intentional... or maybe just a freudian slip

Thank you very much for the tutorial. This was a thing I always wanted to do at some point but couldn't get me up to it dealing with the needed cIOS and such things.

Man I wish sooo hard this was available/possible on the Nintendo Switch. :(
But I still have my beloved Wii U in place and will do this. :)

Enjoy! Let me know if you need any help or something pops up that you have a question on. This is the first draft of the tutorial, so if you find something that needs more clarification, I can add it for others. Thanks again!

    Thanks. :)
Can't promise you when I'll find the time for this but chances are high I can give it a go this weekend.
Removed the dust from my Wii U just a few days ago when a friend of mine visited me with whom I use to play FIFA 11 (vWii) everytime lol.

However I'm only interested in the singing part of this game (don't have instruments but only a few Logitech mics that I've been using for the SingItStar community games). I hope this is possible? I mean ... just singing along in this game?

Yeah you can, you just need a wii remote and when you join without it plugged into an instrument, it assigns you to the mic lol. Don't worry, I have tons of family that only play mic as well! Haha they obsessed with smule.

I got in contact with a guy who has the full RB3 DLC Nand file, but it's not cleaned up and currently 36gb in size. Not to mention the Wii has a 1000 song capacity limit. I'm going to mess with it if I ever receive the files... as far as warriors of Rock, I haven't messed with that at all.

Is an Android/iPhone app where you sing online with other strangers and friends... It's actually quite fun and good if you're into singing.

Why is this inject so much more involved than just using Tecmoons WiiVC injector?

Because the vWii Injector doesn't load E-Store DLC. You have to run an EmuNAND in order to fake the vWii into thinking you own the content.

This is a very useful guide, however I'm afraid I can't distribute this due to some thinking that it may be piracy. I will test this out, though, and see if it works for my Wii U. Thank you very much for crediting me. :D

First of all, it's a Gecko hack. You need a GCT cheat file with RB3 cheats. There are various Gecko codes for RB3, some which do the same things but are intended for different platforms. A few can be found in StackO's guide to Wii Customs.

Secondly, I don't think this belongs in a thread about TB:RB. Just saying. You could discuss it further on my thread, if you wish.

Thirdly, why am I still trying to help?!? I was supposed to be on a holiday vacation... but oh, well. I guess there's no better time to help out hackers than Christmas time. ;)

Completely agree! Thanks for the info though! I'll be heading over to the linked thread shorty. Have a good Vacation amigo!
