You can hear the lack of enthusiasm in the lead designers voice.

I get the feeling that Ubisoft got the license just recently because this looks like it was put together quite quickly. Kinda reminds me of Punch-Out only less fun and more mindless. Ubisoft are an odd creature, has some excellent developers under it's house to make very good games...some they showed at E3 showed some innovative concepts. Then they do stuff like this! I guess they're after the quick buck here rather than go the Arkham City/Ultimate Alliance route of making something good but spend time on it.

But yeah, this looks boring and incredibly simplistic. If I wanted to watch Marvel characters fight each other I'd just play UMvC3.

Looks like Disney are going to be doing the games based on movies from now on (not sure about comic based ones like this Avengers game):

Their own games tend to be not so bad. Cars 2 Wii was enjoyable & Toy Story 3 was pretty good.

No, I think the game fits quite well with the movie, being that the movie was highly overrated and only average, however this game looks like the turd I took a couple of hours ago.

It's not based on the film at all, its supposed to be based on the Secret Invasion comic series.
