CHMM2 release is near and 3DSThemes.com still not have support for info.lua files (which will be deprecated).

CHMM2 will need an SMDH file for Author, Description, Title and icon support.
Just wanted to report this if 3dsthemes.com devs want to add this feature prematurely to make fully compatible all future themes.
SMDH file won't be indispensable but recommended a lot.

We can easily supply the information needed to build the files, but could the SMDH file be built on the 3ds?

You have to write a SMDH build (So you'll need an auto-rescaler and a RGBA8 to RGB565 parser).
Surely i'm not going to write such features in CHMM for a lack 3dsthemes.com have cause creating an SMDH file on PC is relatively simple with tools like SMDH Creator ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-the-smdh-creator-make-your-own-icon-pack.396765/ ).

You can ask for a (reccomended) SMDH file in theme uploader.

so will info.lua stop working all together in CHHM2? do i need to remake all my info.lua files as SMDH for them to work properly?

Yeah, info.lua was a temporary solution to the problem. Definitive ones will be provided with info.smdh support.

Can you give me your use case for the api? I might work on it this weekend i just got access to the production server last week and am putting my custom theme creation tool on hold until we get some other stuff sorted out.

I dont know if this is just me, but after accessing the site today every theme is marked as nsfw. It wasn't like this yesterday or earlier today, so i'm a bit confused.

I think it was a work of a spam bot as I did a little test and ran one on my theme (just added 5 clicks to the download button so no worries) and it was easy as pie so maybe add a captcha down the line for when you download something?
