Link's Awakening was fantastic. I can't really think of any other endings that stick out in my brain. The only one I remember vividly is Halo 3 and that's just because it was really infuriating and really felt like a cop-out.

Yeah, can anyone say SURPRISE, HALO 4?

i have to say i love halo 3's credits i just love the tune

i too enjoyed halos credits (the shoutouts and thank yous at the end were mildly amusing)
but portal's credits are definatly more witty and resourceful.

Looked it up, there are 7 ending to STALKER. I have to say, it has one of the best story lines of any FPS. Maybe better than Half-Life.

Theres many good endings that come to mind, mostly from RPGs.

But my favorite ending probably has to be Bomberman 64... yeah I said it.
To sum it up, your closest comrade becomes ultra powerful and you have to team up with your enemy to defeat him. Regulus is an awesome name BTW

I thought the ending of Yoshi's island was very satisfying and touching. What makes a great ending? I think it's the game in overall, if the game is good the ending is good.

I have to choose for FF VII.

come on, you know it's not as simple as the other "thank you mario" endings.
You rescue the stork, and luigi, then the stork flies both babies through the clouds while the credits roll, and leaves them on the doorstep and their parents pick them up.
and then you unlock all the bonus stages n stuff

one of the greatest games of all time that actually has a satisfying ending.
another cool thing to think about is that it was the only mario game to feature shy guys for a long time since mario2 (doki ver) which explains why mario had a nightmare with them in it

Hmm, my favorite ending was.... Soni..... Outrun 2019!
After all that racing your car goes on a translecent bridge up into freaking space!
I dunno, just made me feel like I accomplished something.

That Portal ending was kinda odd, I guess ya gotta play the game to get the feel for it.
Same goes for Outrun2019 really.
Ya skip it and then its just "oh its just the credits with some music, blah"

Actually, now that I think about it a bit more, the Cave Story endings were great :3
