I'm thankful for the things we take for granted here, such as housing, having a meal every day, clean water, clothes, etc. I'm also thankful for getting to do college classes for high school this year, it's been a great challenge and the peeps at college are pretty cool. Also thankful for the peeps I've met through gbatemp and the website itself. It can get toxic at times, but I've definitely met some cool people I would've never knew if it hadn't been for this community.

1. A person who has made me happy more than anybody or anything this year, and maybe it's not a coincidence that they aren't a member of this forum.

2. Certain people of this forum, not this place in general, just because it's the holiday, I won't warm up to places I don't 100% like. Without naming them all, basically any cool and calm person who talked Pokemon, and especially the devs who made all the awesome toys to complement the current generation of games. It just gets better every year and I hope never to take that for granted. Also devs of material I use a lot, whether it be 3DSHell, GodMode9, BootNTRSelector, Luma3DS.

3. John Woo for making A Better Tomorrow, the best first time movie viewing of 2017. Chow Yun Fat and all the other main cast members for crafting such an amazing movie.

4. Tommy Wiseau for The Room, Greg Sestero for the stories behind it, the poor souls who worked on the movie, and the cool souls that hopefully made a great movie about it (James Franco, Seth Rogen and company).

5. My mom, grandma, and great grandma, a holy trinity of strong women.

6. Akira Toriyama, his stamp on the world this year can be summarized in one phrase. Back tingly thing.

7. Hirohiko Araki for making JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, the manga, leading to the amazing people who made that masterpiece of an anime (2012 onwards).

8. David Lynch for Twin Peaks' return season, all the cast and crew who worked on that, great job.

9. A new batch of thanks for everyone involved in Stranger Things, and a plea for nobody to stand too close to Winona Ryder, because showing me how tiny she is fucks me up.

10. Justin Roiland for Rick & Morty.

11. Funimation for dubbing Dragon Ball Super, good stuff so far.

12. The Japanese voices of Dragon Ball Super, and Pokemon for that matter, the anime I surprisingly got back into.

13. My therapist, I won't explain any further.

14. 80s Picture House, Cult 45, and The Same Coin for podcast entertainment and replayability.

15. Game Freak for Pokemon, yearly thanks.

16. The people of Channel Awesome and Cinemassacre for keeping my Youtube visits regular.

17. Morbus Chron, I wish they got back together.

18. All the metal bands I listened to this year for that matter, and a special nod to Metallica for finally making a good album after 25 or so years.

19. Amir Shervan for Samurai Cop.

20. Corey Yuen for No Retreat, No Surrender.

21. YK Kim for Miami Connection.

22. Jackie Chan for being Jackie Chan.

23. Clint Eastwood for being Clint Eastwood.

24. Trey Parker and Matt Stone for South Park.

25. Camgirls in general, beats professional porn.

26. 4chan for certain quality torrents and NSFW GIFs.

27. Serebii and the guy behind it, Joe Merrick.

28. Coffee.

29. The people responsible for NTRBoot, this year a console bricked for 2 years was revived, making my 3DS collection more even. Plailect for the guide.

30. My grandma's cousin for various things, including being a really good barber.

I think 30 is a good number to stop at.

I'm grateful for changes in societal norms that allow me to be as reclusive and emotionally closed as possible without drawing too much attention to myself.

I'm thankful for those who genuinely love and care about me. I'm thankful that I live in a country where I am free to be the person I want to be. I'm thankful that a better tomorrow is coming even if today is dark. I'm thankful for those I can hold onto when I'm heading somewhere scary. I'm thankful for the memories of yesterday, the thrill of the today, and most importantly, the opportunities of tomorrow.

I’m thankful for the scenes, and for everyone that has contributed. Thankful for what’s released, and for what has not yet debuted. Thankful for you, OP, and for everyone reading. I’m thankful for this site, and for those who it are leading.

I’m thankful for the time spent, through-out these many years. Words that have entered my head, have never left these ears. I still remember the days when I was just thirteen. Googling about HBL, and figuring out what it means.

I’m thankful for wololo, dashhacks, and qj. Thankful for the many sites that no longer live to-day. Thankful for everything, that I treasure like a pearl. Thank you for making me, who I am in this world.

Peace

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

No real point since movies are 30fps
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not a big movie buff, more of a gamer tbh. And Series X is 120hz 8k ready, but yea only 120hz 4k games out right now, but thinking of in the future.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.
